This is a one owner car.  It is in excellent mechanical condition with no known defects.  It rides and runs just like a brand new car.  It quiet and tight just as you would expect a new one to be.  I am selling the car because I purchased a new C300.  The miles on the car are almost exclusively interstate as my job requires that I be out of town 4 nights each week, in a different location each time.  I work for the Federal Government.

The car has two damage reports, both of which were minor in nature.  One required the rear bumper to be replaced, the other required the front bumper to be replaced, the air bags did not deploy (minor damage I just insisted upon a new bumper).  The only thing I can say it needs is there are a few small 1/16" of an inch chips in the paint on the hood and on the left (drivers side) of the bumper guard there is a 1" place where the paint wrinkled a little. Both could be repaired by professional for less than $100.  This car has been serviced religiously at the proper times.  I have used nothing but synthetic oil in the car and have changed the filter and oil every 10K miles as stated in the service book.  The car has always been serviced at the local Mercedes dealership.  I can't state enough that this car runs like brand new.  No noise, no rattles, its as tight as a brand new car, and rides great.  You can get in it and drive coast to coast you won't have a problem.

A $750 deposit is required on purchase it now.  Balance due in 10 days and the car must be picked up in 10 days.  Balance must be paid with a CASHIERS CHECK upon pick up and the title will be transferred at the bank as the payment is made.  I will take you to our local DMV for 30 day tags to allow you to drive back to your location if out of town.

I listed this car in the local newspaper effective May 29.  I reserve the right to take this listing down if the car sales locally before being purchased on line thrugh ebay.  For some reason ebay is stating they do not have a title # they can research. This is a Virginia titled car with Virginia Title #88282471 and the vehicle

Artist imagines eerie world where cars have no wheels

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

The wheel ranks right up there with the telescope and four-slice toaster in the pantheon of inventions that have moved humankind forward. But what if a circle in three dimensions had never occurred to anyone, and we all had just moved on without it? Perhaps we'd be driving around in Lucas Motors Landspeeders with anti-gravity engines. Or maybe we'd have the same cars we do today, just without wheels.
That's the thought experiment that seems to have led French photographer Renaud Marion to create his six-image series called Air Drive. The shots depict cars throughout many eras of motoring that look normal except for one thing: they have no wheels. The models used include a Jaguar XK120, Cadillac DeVille (shown above), Chevrolet El Camino and Camaro, and Mercedes-Benz SL and 300 roadsters.
Perhaps one day when our future becomes our past, you'll be able to walk the street and see with your own eyes the rust and patina of age on our nation's fleet of floating cars. Until then, Monsieur Marion's photographs will have to do.

Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG officially teased in mini video

Mon, 15 Jul 2013

The followup to the Mercedes-Benz S550, the S63 AMG, will sport a biturbocharged V8 that will likely turn out around 550 horsepower. The new engine is probably the 5.5-liter, biturbocharged V-8 that's been popping up in everything from the ML63 to the E63 AMG. The front fascia is more aggressive, which shouldn't come as a surprise, while a meaty exhaust setup can be found out back.
We managed to pick all that up from a short, 17-second video posted by MB. The original video that unveiled the S63 AMG has since been pulled down, making this YouTube clip the best look we now have at the new super sedan, at least until the Germans give up the goods for real.
Be sure to check out the video below, along with our original posting on the S63 AMG.

Mercedes to roll out C63 AMG late in 2014 with 4.0L V8

Mon, 30 Dec 2013

The new 2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is upon us, launching initially in North America with turbocharged four-cylinder C300 4Matic and six-cylinder C400 4Matic flavors. But that's only the tip of the proverbial iceberg when it comes to the vast array of powertrain configurations that will be offered in the new C-Class in markets around the world. Orders will soon be rolling in for gasoline, hybrid and diesel engines with four, six or eight cylinders, driving the rear wheels or all four, with the seven-speed automatic transmission soon to be replaced by a new nine-speed unit. But what enthusiasts are really looking forward to is the next C63 AMG.
As BMW has done with the M3 (and new M4), Mercedes has gradually ratcheted up the cylinder count in its AMG C-Class, graduating from the 3.6-liter V6 in the original C36 AMG to the 4.3-liter V8 in the C43 AMG, then the 5.5-liter V8 in the C55 AMG before going the distance with the sublime 6.2-liter V8 in the C63 AMG. Like its rivals, Mercedes is expected to use turbochargers as a replacement for displacement in the next model, but unlike its Bavarian rival, it won't be losing any cylinders in the process.
Skipping the 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 that has gone on to power other AMG models, the next C63 AMG is still expected to introduce a new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing between 450 and 500 horsepower. It'll also reportedly keep the same seven-speed automatic transmission (instead of switching to the new nine-speed), but the jury's still out on whether it'll come with rear- or all-wheel drive (or offer buyers the choice). The downsized V8 - codenamed M177 - is then expected to find its way into other models, but the C-Class will be the first to get it when it arrives before the end of the new year ahead.
