This auction is for my Mercedes benz cl55 AMG. I purchased the car 2 years ago and immediately began upgrading it.

First The entire car was stripped and repainted Factory black, then the PPG satin clear coat was added. The paint looks amazing and get compliments constantly.

Next I disassembled the interior. The headliner, pillar trim, and lower door panels were covered in grey Ultrasuede.

The taillamps were replaced with the new style factory lamps ( look better), then all lights were smoked except the headlamps, foglamps, and mirror signals. ( all clear glass).

All wood was refinished in glossy black, door waistrail wood and gear lever trim in carbon fiber. The wheels were next, I replaced the factory wheels with Renntech 19 forged wheels and hankook z rated tires.

Finally the car was serviced from head to toe including... oil and filter, trans oil and filter, hydraulic system oil and filter, rear diff service, fuel pump, fuel filter, drive shaft rubber coupler and carrier, fuel injectors, and a couple sensors.

The car runs and drives excellent, I put around 15000 miles on it since restoration with no real problems. The only problems at this time are...

a small chip on the inner edge of the pass door window,

brakelamp warning on the dash ( due to newer taillamps),

some tire vibrations at hwy speed,

some minor scratches in the paint, normal with a 2 yr old paintjob, nothing noticeable, I couldnt even get them in a pic they are so light.

Mercedes-Benz intros long-wheelbase E-Class for China

Long-wheelbase sedans are a pretty hot commodity in China, and to keep up with the competition, Mercedes-Benz has introduced an extended version of the 2014 E-Class sedan at the Shanghai Motor Show. Audi, BMW, Volvo and even Cadillac offer extended versions of sedans specific to the Chinese market, and now the E-Class L, shown off in E400L guise, will give luxury sedan buyers in China yet another option.
Compared to the standard 2014 E-Class sedan, the new China-spec E-Class L has been stretched by 5.5 inches - all of which goes to the rear-seat passengers. According to an article on China View from earlier in the year, the market for chauffeur-driven cars is growing in the Asian nation, so automakers need long-wheelbase models like the E-Class L in order to fully compete. As for what powers this stretched E-Class, it's available in three models: the diesel E260L, the V6-powered E300L and the E400 Hybrid.
The redesigned E-Class and the all-new A-Class are just the first of 20 new Mercedes-Benz products that will be introduced into the Chinese auto market by 2015. Scroll down for the full press release on long-wheelbase E.

Race Recap: Singapore Grand Prix is about a safety car and submission

The Singapore Formula One Grand Prix is the Monaco GP of the Orient - a weekend known more for its glamour and time-slot than on-track action, with a temporary circuit that punishes every mistake, usually terminally.
Lewis Hamilton in the Mercedes-AMG Petronas got the best of Free Practice 1, opening the curtain on a possible resurgence of Silver Arrows performance. By the time qualifying was done, though, it was his teammate Nico Rosberg who lined up second on the grid, followed by Romain Grosjean with a beautiful performance in the Lotus, Mark Webber in the Infiniti Red Bull, and Hamilton all the way back in fifth. Behind them were Felipe Massa outqualifying Ferrari teammate Fernando Alonso, Jenson Button getting the McLaren into eighth, Daniel Ricciardo with another good Q3 effort to get into ninth, and the shocker of Esteban Gutiérrez getting his Sauber into the top ten for the first time this year.
At the front of the pack was Sebastian Vettel. Again. But he was only ahead of Rosberg by a single tenth of a second...

Mercedes-AMG teases GT interior, announces fall 2014 debut

Mercedes-Benz opted to tease the assembled media at its post-New York Auto Show party, showing off a pair of images of the exquisitely crafted interior of the highly anticipated successor of the SLS AMG - the V8-powered Mercedes-AMG GT.
Slated for a debut in the fall at either Paris or Los Angeles (we're betting Paris), you'll note straight away that there's something wrong with this car's name. Where's the "Benz?" Well, it's been ditched to, as Mercedes says, "make the dream of the authentic Mercedes-AMG sports car come true." Sorry Karl.
"The new Mercedes-AMG GT proves that we will be positioning AMG as a dynamic sports car brand even more strongly and aggressively than before," said Tobias Moers, CEO of Mercedes-AMG.
