You are bidding on a Beautiful 1999 Mercedes Benz CLK Coupe. This vehicle has been immaculately maintained.
1999 Mercedes CLK320 Coupe with 18" AMG Style wheels and Continental Extreme Contact DWS tires. The 50,000 mile tires were put on 25,000 miles ago and show even wear. Everything works including the sunroof, power windows, power seats, power mirrors, air conditioning, heat, radio, For the last 50,000 miles it has had only Royal Purple oil changes with a felt Mann filter. The complete front end had all wear points replaced 20,000 miles ago so the steering is tight like new. This included a new tie rod assembly, upper and lower ball joints and poly control arm bushings. The differential fluid was also changed at this time. The brake rotors were replaced recently with drilled and slotted rotors from R1 concepts. It has no dust ceramic brake pads on all corners so the wheels do not get dirty like they would with standard pads. The interior is in fair to good condition for its age. If you're a perfectionist like me, the car will need some bodywork since there are a few paint bubbles and some very minor rust spots, see pictures. It has power seats with driver side memory, the rear seats are 60/40 split folding style. One of the two seat releases levers is broken, but the seat still folds down by pulling the cable. Two road or mountain bikes with gear can fit with the seats down. Rear seats have automatic drop down headrests for better visibility. The rear window has the optional power shade. Mechanically the car is in great shape, A/C ice cold, Always garaged, Custom wheels, Excellent condition, Looks & drives great, No accidents, Non-smoker, Perfect first car, Title in hand, Well maintained

Artist imagines eerie world where cars have no wheels
Thu, 24 Jan 2013The wheel ranks right up there with the telescope and four-slice toaster in the pantheon of inventions that have moved humankind forward. But what if a circle in three dimensions had never occurred to anyone, and we all had just moved on without it? Perhaps we'd be driving around in Lucas Motors Landspeeders with anti-gravity engines. Or maybe we'd have the same cars we do today, just without wheels.
That's the thought experiment that seems to have led French photographer Renaud Marion to create his six-image series called Air Drive. The shots depict cars throughout many eras of motoring that look normal except for one thing: they have no wheels. The models used include a Jaguar XK120, Cadillac DeVille (shown above), Chevrolet El Camino and Camaro, and Mercedes-Benz SL and 300 roadsters.
Perhaps one day when our future becomes our past, you'll be able to walk the street and see with your own eyes the rust and patina of age on our nation's fleet of floating cars. Until then, Monsieur Marion's photographs will have to do.
Mercedes-Benz introduces new heavy security M-Class Guard model
Tue, 19 Mar 2013Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a new addition to the company's line of personal security vehicles. The M-Class Guard features bullet-proof side windows made with special laminated glazing and a polycarbonate inner layer to protect occupants from shards of glass. Mercedes says the M-Class Guard meets protection level VR4 according to the Bullet Resistant Vehicles 2009 standards, based on testing from the independent Ulm-based Ballistics Bureau, which means it can withstand .357 Magnum and .44 fire from multiple angles. It can also stand up to the DM51 hand grenade when equipped with optional floor armoring. Why skimp?
Buyers looking for protection from the world's literal slings and arrows can opt for the ML350 BlueTEC with its 258 horsepower 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine. With 457 pound-feet of torque, the oil-burner should have no trouble hustling the privileged class about. Of course, the ML500 offers a bit more punch courtesy of a 4.6-liter twin-turbo V8 with 408 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. Prices start at 105,050 euros for the diesel and 118,650 euros for the V8. You can check out the full press release below for more information.
Brabus 800 Roadster is a power-mad aristocrat
Wed, 06 Mar 2013If we're being completely honest, we haven't exactly been in love with the aesthetics of the sixth-generation Mercedes-Benz SL-Class. It's mostly a front-end issue, with its glowering eagle-eye headlamps and upright, dinner-plate-sized Three-Pointed Star coming across to us as overwrought. That's particularly troublesome for a roadster whose history has of the most elegant designs of all time in its back catalog. Somehow, the new R231 generation's brash visuals seem more at home on this Brabus 800 Roadster to us.
That's probably because the high-dollar German tuner has turned up the wick on the SL's visuals even further, with carbon fiber bodywork, a more aggressive aero kit, matte hood scoop and complex two-finish wheels. It's all-the-way committed to its brashness, in other words - and justifiably so. Anything with 800 horsepower and 1,047 pound-feet of torque has earned the right to look however it wants, right?
Brabus started with the SL65 and its not-exactly-underpowered 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12, and went to town, fitting their own turbocharger and intercooler system, along with a less-restrictive exhaust system with driver-selectable sound levels and new engine electronics. The result is a 3.7-second 0-62 mph time, an electronically limited top whack of 217 mph... and one seriously compromised toupée.
