RARE RARE E55 AMG Designo Mercedes Benz with Charcoal AMG Exclusive Leather, Designo Natural Curly Maple Wood, Wood Leather Steering Wheel. As per Eileen of Mercedes Benz USA there were ONLY 997 E55 AMG's Sold in the United States during 2002. Even fewer Designo Editions. (Unable to establish Exact Number. See Enclosed E Mail) The invoice for this Fine Automobile was $81,735.00, Ordered from Euro Motorcars, Bethesda, Maryland. (See Enclosed Dealer Documents) Also Ordered was the Special Order Package, ES1: Parktronic, Rear reading Lights. The vehilce has Parking sensors in the front and rear bumper with indicator lighing in the dash somewhat indicating the distance to an object. Also Special Order was K2A Intergrated timeport Phone with Voice Recognition and Integrated 6 Disc CD Changer. (NOTE: The telephone Handset is No longer in the vehilce) Harmon Kardon Sound System with Dolby 5.1. Please see the enclosed Euro Motorcars Dealer Information for further details which specifies that the Designo Silver Edition Package was an addition $5400.00 Option. The Silver Paint is not like other E 55 Mercedes Silvers. It appears to have a beige hue in it. Factory/Mercedes Dealership Touch Up Paint with Clear Matching the color is included.
This automobile runs excellent/smooth and the transmission shifts smoothly. The oil was just changed, 8.6 Quarts of Mercedes Dealership Purchased Mobil One and Filter. The air filters have approximately 3000 miles of use and are very very clean. The Antifreez is clean and the meter states that is has full heat protection to 268 degrees plus. The Interior of this vehilce is nearly flawless. Although I have listed the Interior as black, the invoice states that it is "Charcoal AMG Exclusive Leather" Not a Tear or Rip in any of the Leather, Dash Door Panels, Head liner. In fact the driver's seat does not show any wear on the bolster as with many autos. All electrics function as well as the cold air conditioning, sunroof and rear shade. The only issue with the interior as observed in the enclosed photos is the wood steering wheel has some cracking as well as the wood to the front of the transmission shifter. (It does not need replacement by any means) The digital readout displaying the time does not always display the time. The digital readout displaying the exterior temps does not function. The headlights are clear and not "cloudy" The body is excellent with the exception of the two roof edge side moldings in which the clear coat is peeling away. This is common with many Mercedes and according to Mercedes Benz of Annapolis Parts Department, these molding are available for replacement. (I have not replaced or repaired for fear that you purist would be concerned that something was amiss or damage occured to the roof.) The rims are almost perfect as the enclosed photographs depict. 4 New Tires, NEW Front Rotors.. They have literally traveled perhaps 50 Miles. The front brake pads are almost new and the rear brake pads have 3/4 life remaining. Transmission Serviced at 69,000 miles. The enclosed photographs and documents will hopefully be of value to you. There is a new Mercedes Benz Dealer Manual included. Finally, a couple weeks ago I was driving and a small rock struck the windshield causing a chip. I proceeded to Safellite Auto Glass and they Injected their product into the chip to minimize it's appearance as well as preventing it from spreading. The Chip is located in the lower center area of the windshield.(Not in field of viewing.) Can provide a photo if necessary. Will Provide Receipt/Document from Safellite. Appreciate your viewing. Piloting an 8,500-pound motorized house down the highway is far from my idea of fun, yet inexplicably, I'm enjoying myself. My grin has nothing to do with my camper's handling, as this heavily accoutered Mercedes-Benz Sprinter drives like a 25-foot long breadbox. My smile has nothing to do with on-road stability, as the ten-foot-tall, slab-sided vehicle reacts to wind gusts like the vertical stabilizer on a Boeing jet. My delight has nothing to do with its throttle or braking response, either, as both are as numb as your forehead after the eighth beer.
This monstrosity makes me happy for one reason - my passengers are undeniably having a good time.

It's actually a 15-minute teaser for the full-length DVD detailing the magazine's Car of the Year selection, but the tease is worth every penny free second.
Tiff Needell and sports car racer Richard Meaden handle the wheel duties, the two driving five pairs of sports cars: Lotus Exige S vs. Porsche Boxster S, Morgan Three-Wheeler vs. Toyota GT86, BMW M135i vs. Porsche 911, Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series vs. Alpina B3 GT3, the marquee event pits the McLaren MP4-12C vs. the Pagani Huayra. Mercedes-Benz GLK coupe to get 2016 intro
Wed, 23 Jan 2013Radio chatter around the emerging small, premium crossover coupe genre has thus far been dominated by the Land Rover Evoque and the Mini Paceman. According to a report in Car, the Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class (shown above) has received its invitation to the party and will spend the next three years getting ready: it's said that two-door variant of the crisply-angled CUV is coming in 2016, along with a redesign befitting its sleeker intentions.
To be based on the MRA platform - the rear-drive version of the company's three new modular platforms, it will also support the coming 2013 S-Class and could eventually get an AMG version to help it compete with segment offerings like the forthcoming Porsche Macan. Not much else is known about it beyond its name: Car says it will be called the GLC, a friendly nomenclature we remember best as a Mazda hatchback (allegedly for "Good Little Car"). Internet oldtimers may remember the Mazda GLC as the predecessor to the 323 (which in turn came before today's Mazda3). Either way, the GLC is not to be confused with the larger upcoming BMW X6 rival based on the ML-Class (reportedly called GLS) which is also said to still be in the works, or the front-drive based GLA, a model also edging toward production.
