1997 Mercedes E300 D  Diesel. 224,500 Miles. White with parchment Leather Interior. I have owned this car for 7 years. It has clear title, good title.

I bought it with about 110,000 miles. Virtually everything works well, windows, door locks, cruise control, sunroof, remote locks, etc. interior is in excellent shape considering age. there is 1 small "crack" in driver's seat, but it has not split any further in past 2-3 years. This has been my business use car and it must run well and look very nice at all times. All maintenance records are in binder so you can see all that has been done to the car. I have used Amsoil only since I bought it, 10,000 mile oil & filter changes. There is a Class 1 hitch on car so I can launch my small sailboat. Never towed more that 6 miles to lake. New'ish tires, new battery, all service records. This has been a Texas car as long as I know. Last owner was local guy too. Sold at Beck's Mercedes, now Park Place in Bedford TX according to Window Sticker
I would put this car in Good to Very Good condition based on KBB. This shows over $6300.

I can send more pix, just ask. I need $500.00 deposit by Paypal or Cash within 48 hours of closing bid. Balance cash only. We'll make transaction at bank in SW Arlington TX. Car is garaged in Arlington TX 76017. If you wish to fly in to pick it up, I'll be happy to meet you at DFW or Dallas Love Field. You can drive this car anywhere from here when you get it. It has no problems in any operating conditions.

Paul di Resta returns to DTM with Mercedes

Tue, 21 Jan 2014

Some drivers manage to make the transition from one form of motor racing into another, and some run into trouble. Take Paul di Resta, for example. The promising young Scottish driver dominated Formula 3 racing in Europe in 2006, then moved over to Germany's hugely competitive DTM touring car series where he finished second in 2008, third in 2009 and first in 2010. But things didn't go as smoothly for Paul - cousin to retired Indy champion Dario Franchitti - when he moved in to Formula One with the Force India team.
In three years on the grid, he failed to score a single podium finish. Little surprise, then, that Force India opted not to renew his contract for this season. Left without a ride, di Resta is now going back to DTM with longtime supporter Mercedes-Benz, testing the new C-Class touring car today in Portugal. It's good news for Mercedes, which is celebrating 120 years in motor racing this season and, with 2005 champion Gary Paffett also on board, can now count two former champions on its DTM roster.
We wouldn't count Paul out of F1 for good, though. When he won the DTM title four years ago, he was also moonlighting as Force India's test driver, and we wouldn't be surprised to see him pull similar double-duty with the Mercedes F1 team (or another Benz-powered outfit) this year before spring-boarding back into grand prix racing in the future. At 27 years old, he may not have been the youngest driver on the grid this year, but he's still got a good few years ahead of him.

Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG officially teased in mini video

Mon, 15 Jul 2013

The followup to the Mercedes-Benz S550, the S63 AMG, will sport a biturbocharged V8 that will likely turn out around 550 horsepower. The new engine is probably the 5.5-liter, biturbocharged V-8 that's been popping up in everything from the ML63 to the E63 AMG. The front fascia is more aggressive, which shouldn't come as a surprise, while a meaty exhaust setup can be found out back.
We managed to pick all that up from a short, 17-second video posted by MB. The original video that unveiled the S63 AMG has since been pulled down, making this YouTube clip the best look we now have at the new super sedan, at least until the Germans give up the goods for real.
Be sure to check out the video below, along with our original posting on the S63 AMG.

Firing of M-B boss upheld

Mon, 15 Jul 2013

Ernst Lieb, the disgraced former CEO of American operations for Mercedes-Benz, will not be getting any more money from the Silver Arrow'd teat. His wrongful dismissal suit against MB's parent company, Daimler, was tossed out of a German appeals panel. This, followed the initial rejection by a lower court last year.
According to court documents acquired by Automotive News, Lieb was found to have "accepted payments of substantial value to which he - as he was aware - had no claim."
Lieb took over American operations from former CEO Paul Halata in September of 2006. Reports surfaced in October of 2011 that Lieb was dismissed from his posting at MB, with a variety of rumors swirling. Eventually, news broke that financial wrong doing was responsible for the German's firing.
