1994 Mercedes-Benz 320CE (WDB1240661C0633), a factory-built Sportline/AMG A126, delivered to Lucerne, Switzerland, November, 1993. It is the only one of it's kind specifically ordered with a post-production, pre-merger AMG hand-stitched, installed Signal Red Kepler-Recaro, Sportline leather interior. Features also include original build sheet(s), with sales and operating manuals, wallets (2), and all supplements. It also is equipped with a MB's 1st. 5-Speed Automatic, a 3:69 ASR rear-end, and w/rare S-class Infra-red remote Lock-theft-recovery system. It also includes full documented Mercedes-Benz restoration/repair receipts, totaling over $37k. Added accessories include all correct & complete tool, fuse, bulb, first aid and emergency kits, + all period sales literature. The vehicle comes with the rare Daimler-Benz AG's Factory Certificate of Compliance. It is also now beyond 25 years old and compliant with EPA rules governing registration within the United States. It remains unfederalized with the exception of an added catalytic converter installed at some point in the late 1990s by the original owner while living in Florida. Mercedes CLA45 AMG Racing is ready for a spot on the grid
Tue, 10 Sep 2013Mercedes-Benz trotted out its CLA45 AMG-based racer at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. We first showed you the sedan in the deluge of news and reveals that precedes most good auto shows, and were blown away by the car, formally known as the CLA45 AMG Racing Series.
We were strolling by the Mercedes stand, and figured we'd pop in and take a look at the new racer and its carbon-fiber body panels, gutted interior, and race-sourced aero parts. It's a looker, both as a road car and a track weapon. It's not clear what series the CLA45 AMG will qualify for, although it does seem like a shoe-in for the World Touring Car Championship. Dartz promises own 6x6 G-Class with golden shishas and a dining room
Mon, 25 Mar 2013So you didn't really think Dartz Motorz was going to let the limited-production, 544-horsepower Mercedes 6x6 G63 AMG go without a challenge, did you? Picking up the gauntlet as only Dartz can, the Russian dream-makers have come up with the Sahara G-eopard, supposedly a special request from a buyer to make one of the 'standard' six-wheelers "more opulent and insane."
That means the vehicle from the factory gets extended by about a foot (30 centimeters), coach doors in the rear, a "yacht floor" and air conditioning that runs on its own power source, Asanti 24-inch Gold Bullion wheels and a water dispenser with Russian diamonds, which the owner will need to fill the golden shishas (hookahs) in the portable smoking room. That's right, you heard the man: a portable smoking room. Where the occupants will retire when they're finished in the portable dining room. Of course.

Aston Martin signs Letter of Intent for technical partnership with AMG
Thu, 25 Jul 2013A little over two months ago came reports that Daimler and Aston Martin were in talks, again, about "supply and technical-cooperation agreements." The next step has been taken with Aston Martin announcing that it has signed a Letter of Intent that looks "towards a technical partnership" with Mercedes-AMG GmbH, and the two companies aiming to have definitive agreements done by year's end.
While it will get to use certain electric and electronic components from AMG, the true golden egg for the maker of the Vanquish will be the ability to develop a new line of "bespoke V8 powertrains" that will be fitted to "a new generation of models." In return for opening up the larder, Daimler will get a non-voting stake of up to five percent of Aston Martin.
