Big, comfortable, and fast S500 for sale.  I love this car I took it on a road trip to NYC when I first bought it and it is an awesome long haul car.  This was a snow bird car so would only be used seasonally which is why it has so few miles on it.  I have used it for the past two years as my daily driver.  I need to upgrade to an SUV because I need something with more utility for work.  This engine will go forever if you are will to do the small fixes throughout the life of this car.  I just recently put over $2,000 into it to replace the engine electrical harness a couple of weeks ago.  I have done a lot to it while I owned it so you are getting a car that has already had some significant work done and I have it price right on target with Kelley Blue Book.  Check it out for yourself.

work done on car past 2 years: (Pros)

- Fuel injection system cleaned
- Windows tinted
- AC blower motor replaced
- Transmission mounts replaced
- 4 new tires (within past year)
- New front brakes and rotors (within past year)
- New engine electrical harness put in this month ($2000+)
- Oil recently done won't need synthetic change for another 6,000 miles
- Comes with tire iron, jack, and full sized spare that was used once for 5 miles
- Have replaced both headlights within past 2 years so also should be good on those

Condition issues:
- Automatic locks have never worked since I bought it but key works fine. Auto windows etc. are in good working order.
- Radio/cd player should be updated. Volume knob is old and touchy.
- Could use a re-appolster of the moon roof sliding panel and backseat corners going from seat to roof. All in all I'm told this would cost a couple hundred bucks.
- minor dings on exterior from other car doors in parking lots.  I'm in Florida, everyone old it happens but they aren't bad.

I will accept a certified check for payment and once the payment has been cleared I am happy to coordinate shipping.  All costs will be the responsibility of the buyer.  Ideally a local purchaser would be best but I'm ok putting this on a truck to ship for you but again, the cost of shipping is on the buyer.

Mercedes testing C-Class plug-in hybrid modes in Germany

Wed, 07 May 2014

Testing appears to be underway for what would be the first Mercedes-Benz C-Class with a hybrid powertrain. We can see a pair of the prototypes undergoing testing in Germany, with one, a C-Class Wagon, still heavily clad in camouflage and featuring a more noticeable outlet on the passenger side of its rear bumper.
There's also a more production-looking sedan, which features a not-so-discreet flap over its rear-bumper outlet. It's difficult to speculate on power outputs for this fuel-sipping C-Class, although our spies seem to think that this car will feature some combination of a four-cylinder gas engine with an electric motor, although just which four is unclear (note, we wouldn't mind if MB fit its 2.0-liter turbo with some batteries and motors). Regardless, the four-pot/electric motor seems like a pretty reasonable combo, although it probably means that Mercedes won't be challenging the six-cylinder-powered system of the BMW ActiveHybrid3 any time soon.
When the plug-in C-Class arrives later this year as a 2015 model, it will likely offer a full range of driving modes, including both gas or electric, only, as well as a more traditional hybrid mode.

New details emerge on forthcoming Mercedes-Benz SLC

Sat, 02 Feb 2013

Last we heard, the Mercedes-Benz SLC had been put on indefinite hold, but now Car Magazine is reporting that the Porsche 911-fighting "Baby SLS" coupe could be on sale by 2015. Riding on a modified SLS AMG chassis, the smaller and lighter SLC could be priced in the sub-$100,000 price bracket.
We'd already heard that the new car would feature conventional doors (instead of SLS-like gullwing doors), but this report focuses on some of the possible powertrains Mercedes-Benz is likely to use. At launch, the SLC could offer a pair of V8-powered models - a 485-horsepower SLC and a 585-hp SLC S - both being powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8. About a year after launch, a new V6 model could emerge giving the SLC an estimated 333 horsepower and its lowest price point.
It also sounds like the car's name hasn't been completely finalized as some people within Mercedes are favoring a return of the SLR name.

Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG officially teased in mini video

Mon, 15 Jul 2013

The followup to the Mercedes-Benz S550, the S63 AMG, will sport a biturbocharged V8 that will likely turn out around 550 horsepower. The new engine is probably the 5.5-liter, biturbocharged V-8 that's been popping up in everything from the ML63 to the E63 AMG. The front fascia is more aggressive, which shouldn't come as a surprise, while a meaty exhaust setup can be found out back.
We managed to pick all that up from a short, 17-second video posted by MB. The original video that unveiled the S63 AMG has since been pulled down, making this YouTube clip the best look we now have at the new super sedan, at least until the Germans give up the goods for real.
Be sure to check out the video below, along with our original posting on the S63 AMG.
