This vehicle is in great condition for its age. It was bought new in Chicago and is a 1 owner family. It has always been garage kept. The engine was replaced 2 years ago, with one with one that has 60,000 miles on it. The car is currently not running. My son changed the oil in it, and when he went to start it, it wouldn't start. It comes with two used computers, that are extra with it. (Bought to troubleshoot) Mercedes Benz garage has determined that the engine wiring harness is bad which costs $1600. There is a few dings on the trunk, and it is missing a piece from the front lower grill. Car has never been wrecked or repaired.The interior is in fantastic condition. The engine is good, and the drive train is good, and are guaranteed to be usable parts if you are looking at parting it out. If you want to put the cost into replacing the wiring harness, that is another option as well.This vehicle is located in Jacksonville, IL 62650. The buyer will be responsible for pickup arrangements. I will work with whoever they choose to haul it to get it loaded.

We got overexcited when the W203 Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan came out in 2001, calling it the "Baby Benz" when it really wasn't. We knew that, too, but our enthusiasm for a model more like the old 190 of the '80s was so strong that we were willing to stretch the first-gen C-Class to fit that mold. Today, the C-Class has done what all German premium cars do: grown in size. In this case, grown to satisfy the market intentions of the previous E-Class.
There was the tall A-Class sold from 1998 through 2010, but we never considered that a serious small Benz in the proper spirit, nor was it ever offered in the US. Regardless, we've been craving a smaller, premium, sexy sedan all the while.

Maybach lost upwards of $500k on each vehicle sold
Wed, 08 Feb 2012Daimler is shuttering Maybach in 2013 after seven years of production. In that time, the company's ultra-ultra-luxury arm managed to sell just 3,000 units, and CAR reports Daimler lost somewhere around $500,000 on each and every one of them.
Even with a ludicrous price tag of over $370,000 for an "entry" Maybach 57, the brand couldn't quite recoup the dizzying $1.33 billion Daimler poured into it since its (re)inception. Rumors ignited over a possible tie up with Aston Martin that would have resulted in a range of new and attractive models, but Daimler has instead decided to snuff out Maybach altogether.
We can hardly blame them.
