I am selling our 2010 S550. We purchased it from a MB dealer in Tampa 1/2013 as a CPO vehicle. It was originally sold new at MB of South Atlanta. I am the second owner. When I purchased the car, it had 27K miles. It now has 33K miles. When purchased , the brakes, rotors, tires and battery were all replaced by the MB dealer as part of the CPO automobile process. The driver's seat heat element malfunctioned after about one month and this was replaced with a brand new seat. The car appears as a new vehicle. It has had one Mobil 1 oil change about 1000 miles ago. It was just detailed last week. Of course it has been garaged. The car spent its entire life in the south. I looked for a very long time to find this car in this color. It seems to me that about 90 % of these models are either white, gray or black. Also, this car has the P2, driver's assistance and rear seat packages. This includes, d in addition to the many other standard luxury features: Drive dynamic seats with MASSAGE, Keyless Go, Parktronic, Rear View Camera, Distronic Plus adaptive cruise control, Blind spot Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Eight way Adjustable REAR seats, 4 zone climate control, Heated and Active ventilated rear seats. It also has a heated steering wheel. I purchased an extended warranty as well but am not sure if this transfers. Finally, I am selling the car because we have 4 children and just learned we're having a fifth. Alas, it's time for a second Suburban.

2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG rumbles on stage 4Matic style
Mon, 14 Jan 2013Bruce Hornsby and his soothing piano skills helped introduce us to the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class, but the monstrous E63 AMG sedan needed no entrance music as it rumbled on stage. The 550-horsepower (and up) sedan sat proudly alongside the rest of the redesigned E-Class on stage at the Detroit Auto Show, but stood miles apart in intention and execution.
In addition to a choice of sedan and wagon body styles, the E63 AMG will also offer buyers the choice of the standard 550 hp or an upgraded 577-hp S-Model; regardless of output, all 2014 E63 AMG models will come standard with the 4Matic all-wheel-drive system.

Sat, 19 Jan 2013How much extra value does previous celebrity ownership add to of a car? Really, there's no way to know until the car in question hits the auction block and bidders start raising their hands. In the case of the 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing you see above, the celebrity owner is none other than Clark Gable, who purchased it new. After Gable's death in 1960, the car changed hands a few times before settling with Charles Wood in 1975.
A high-dollar restoration was performed in 1989, and period accessories added by Gable himself were kept in place, including the Rudge knock-off wheels and Nardi steering wheel. Any Mercedes-Benz 300SL is worth a big chunk of money. In the case of Clark Gable's old Gullwing, the bidding stalled at $1.9 million here at the 2013 Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale. As one of the 5000-series cars, this 300SL carried a reserve, and a bit of after-the-fact dealmaking saw the car change hands for $1.85 million.

Mercedes widens luxury sales gap on strong early CLA demand
Wed, 02 Oct 2013Mercedes-Benz CLA sales have been booming, with the Stuttgart-based manufacturer moving 2,300 of the sleek four-doors in its first week on sale. That is astonishing. Mercedes moved nearly twice as many CLAs (which start at $29,900) in one week than Jaguar, a brand that is on a very solid roll, sold in all of September. Ignoring the price differences between the Jag line and the CLA, that is still wildly impressive.
Mercedes has been pushing the CLA in television ads, using a shortened version of its Super Bowl spot, which starred William Dafoe, Usher and Kate Upton. "As the bargain entrance into the Mercedes portfolio, we weren't sure how luxury buyers would react," Kelly Blue Book auto analyst Alec Gutierrez told Bloomberg.
The CLA push was just part of MB's 6.7-percent increase in September sales, which were also helped along by a 17-percent jump in E-Class sales. That surge has allowed Mercedes to widen its 2013 sales lead over its rival, BMW, to 2,491 cars, according to Bloomberg. If CLA sales continue at this rate, we can only expect that margin to grow.
