THis 45 Year old classic Mercedes 230sl is in very good condition.  I have had this car for the past 9 years and have only put 2600 miles on it, so the 96k mileage is actual and real.  The car runs and drives very well without any issues.  It has been driven to school dances, occasional dates and on Sunday by my MOther in law.   I have numerous reciept for this vehicle from myself and previous owners.  This seems to have been a Texas car it's whole life.  Bought in Dallas at Park Place Mercedes and later in San Antonio and most recently in San Angelo.  The car appears to have been garage kept its whole life.  I have had quite a bit of work done over the years including a new engine from Metric Motors of California(the best), new carpet, new floor board, new fuel pump, new tires, sport wheels, and new soft top.  The radio works well as does the air-conditioner.   All lights, trim, rubber are original equipment.  Windshields and all glass in good condition. Both visors in place and working. The head liner is in excellent shape.  The paint job looks excellent at 20 feet as you can see, but could be redone if you are going for the concourse look,  The breaks work well.  The dash leather is in good condition, as is the wood trim.  The clock works sporadically but is not consistent.  All other gauges work well.  The doors close solid with the expected "thud".  The car was in a minor fender bender several years back but has been expertly repaired as you can see by the pictures.  If you have any further questions or require more picturs, please be in contact via email.

2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series [w/video]

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

Now Even Sharper Than The Razor's Edge
There have been five Black Series models since the Mercedes-Benz SLK55 AMG Black Series introduced itself to European audiences in 2006. Following that, the Black Series club has hosted appearances by the 2008 CLK63 AMG Black Series, the 2009 SL65 AMG Black Series and last year's 2013 C63 AMG Black Series. The sixth member of the group is one we would have thought already was a Black Series car in its standard guise. Right out of the box, the SLS AMG is loud, frenetic, cozy, boisterous and frightfully easy to oversteer. How much more Black did it need to get?
Quite a bit so, apparently. The SLS AMG Black Series has lost weight, gained power and been refitted with upgrades and aero bits from front to rear. If you liked the way it looked before, you'll probably be an even bigger fan of this one. If you thought it looked ungainly, well, this one should stay even further away from pageants. Regardless of where you come down this is the best SLS AMG variant we've driven.

Next Mercedes-Benz GLK to get AMG variant? Not likely...

Fri, 15 Mar 2013

If you think Mercedes-Benz will slap an AMG badge on anything with wheels, think again. Word has it the German manufacturer will not offer buyers a performance version of the GLK, with Tobias Moers, director of AMG vehicle development, saying that he doesn't see a market for the car. That's not to say the picture won't change in the near future, however. According to CarAdvice.com, AMG is keeping a close eye on the arrival of the Porsche Macan.
"Maybe there will be a change in the market when the Porsche [Macan] comes up," Moers said, "but right now, no."
The real hitch in the giddy-up seems to be cost. Moers says developing the machine into something worthy of an AMG would represent "a huge investment." We can't exactly argue with that. Fortunately, AMG buyers have plenty of Mercedes-Benz models to choose from.

Aston Martin and Mercedes-AMG formalize technical partnership

Thu, 19 Dec 2013

The development of a partnership between Mercedes-Benz and Aston Martin has been a long time coming. The news dates back to 2008, and over the five years since was supposed to lead to a rejuvenation of both the Maybach and Lagonda brands. That program ultimately fell apart, but the tie-in was forged afresh in July when the two automakers signed a letter of intent over a renewed partnership. And now that partnership has been formalized.
In a deal just announced, Mercedes-AMG will build a new V8 engine for Aston Martin that will power a new generation of luxury GTs for the British marque, presumably to replace the 4.7-liter V8 in the Vantage. The relationship appears to be similar to the one already in place between AMG and Pagani, only in this case, will involve Daimler taking as much as a five-percent stake in Aston Martin and an observer seat on Aston's board.
The technical partnership is also set to lead to the supply of electric and electronic systems, and could incorporate "additional areas of cooperation in the future." Whether that will include a fresh attempt at reviving Lagonda remains to be seen, as does the future of Aston's long-serving, Ford-based 6.0-liter V12 engine. But for now you can read the full announcement below.
