Great opportunity to own a first year 450slc this car runs fantastic and has been garaged all of its life, leather interior looks like new paint was redone in 1999 and stored ever since paint is in 98% condition small nicks from use, the dash is perfect no splits. The car can use very little TLC as it suffers from 450 pan rust on the passenger side buy it as is or I can have the shop I use weld in a repair panel, for a arranged upon set cost. After reading my emails, understand you are dealing with a lazy seller with to many projects, the photos do not do justice to the condition of the 450 I did not clean the interior there are a spot or two of dirt and the dust from my warehouse has just left the car look just OK , so I will be updating photos this week and I will get off my a-- and clean and polish both exterior and interior to present the car the right way so that you can make a educated decision about how much TLC needs to go in to this car to become a great daily driver. Motor and trunk photos to be to be added and I will check A/C to see if it blows cold summers here at last!

2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA order guide leaked
Wed, 06 Feb 2013The dealer order guide for the 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA has made its way online courtesy of the crew at CLAForums.com, and not only does it shed light on the ways buyers will be able to configure the entry-level sedan, it talks specific option pricing. Shoppers will be able to select between the CLA250 and CLA250 4Matic, and the option sheet should offer a number of packages to suit buyer tastes, including a sport package with tweaked fascias and unique wheels. Bi-xenon headlamps and 18-inch alloys may also be had as well as a panoramic sunroof and a collision avoidance system. The CLA will be available with a number of active safety systems on board, including lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, park assist and blind spot assist, to name a few.
The new sedan comes in 10 colors, including a very dashing purple Mecedes-Benz calls Northern Lights Violet, and there are a total of four interior trim finishes. The automaker hasn't released final pricing of all models just as of yet - we do know from Mercedes' Kate Upton Super Bowl ad that the car will start at $29,900 - but you can check out individual option and package pricing in the gallery. Aston Martin signs Letter of Intent for technical partnership with AMG
Thu, 25 Jul 2013A little over two months ago came reports that Daimler and Aston Martin were in talks, again, about "supply and technical-cooperation agreements." The next step has been taken with Aston Martin announcing that it has signed a Letter of Intent that looks "towards a technical partnership" with Mercedes-AMG GmbH, and the two companies aiming to have definitive agreements done by year's end.
While it will get to use certain electric and electronic components from AMG, the true golden egg for the maker of the Vanquish will be the ability to develop a new line of "bespoke V8 powertrains" that will be fitted to "a new generation of models." In return for opening up the larder, Daimler will get a non-voting stake of up to five percent of Aston Martin.
Nothing else is being said about the tie-up for the moment, but there's a press release below with a few more details.
SRT Viper dukes it out with Mercedes SLS Black Series in new Head 2 Head
Fri, 05 Jul 2013In Episode 36 of Motor Trend's Head 2 Head, now that the Corvette ZR1 is no more, Jonny Lieberman has to look overseas to the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series for a challenger with similar philosophy to the SRT Viper: long hood hiding a high-horsepower engine set way back, rear-wheel drive, tiny trunks. That puts the Viper's 8.4-liter V10 with 640 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque against the SLS AMG's 6.2-liter V8 with 622 hp and 468 lb-ft.
However, the congruences in philosophy and magnitude of numbers doesn't translate to the driving experiences of the two, which are literally and figuratively on different continents. Lieberman gets a handle on the two of them on Northern California roads, Randy Probst then finds out how, and how quickly, they can lap Laguna Seca.
They both get kudos for being improvements on their original sources, but only one of them can take the win. You can find out by watching the video below.
