1982 Mercedes Benz 380sl Convertible, 88000 Miles, All Original, Clean Title. on 2040-cars
Sarasota, Florida, United States
This Mercedes Benz 380SL is a very nice weekend car, whether you know these cars or not, you will enjoy this one just by the way it drives, very supple ride, plenty of power, yet smooth. My 380SL is in excellent condition, if you've search on Ebay or craigslist, you'll find some for as low as $3,000, or as high as $18,000 my car is priced accordingly to its condition. Essentially this car is the type you buy to enjoy, not to park in a museum, nor the one you'll have to spend thousands to bring it up to good condition.
I'll list the things that need attention, you can contact me if you wish to expand on details, I'll spell my number: 9 four 1- seven 3 5- eight 3 8 five. - Needs a new soft top, it has three rips (about 2" each) that have been patched, top works fine, no issues, but if you want perfect, needs a new canvas top. - Driver seat has small section showing wear, at the back rest lower left side, from getting in and out. - Center arm rest has also small section of wear, where elbow rests. - Trunk floor carpet is missing. Mechanically this car is ready to drive, doesn't need anything, it has a fresh tune-up, oil change, new brakes, suspension, all features are in perfect working order. Thank you for your interest. |

Dartz promises own 6x6 G-Class with golden shishas and a dining room
Mon, 25 Mar 2013So you didn't really think Dartz Motorz was going to let the limited-production, 544-horsepower Mercedes 6x6 G63 AMG go without a challenge, did you? Picking up the gauntlet as only Dartz can, the Russian dream-makers have come up with the Sahara G-eopard, supposedly a special request from a buyer to make one of the 'standard' six-wheelers "more opulent and insane."
That means the vehicle from the factory gets extended by about a foot (30 centimeters), coach doors in the rear, a "yacht floor" and air conditioning that runs on its own power source, Asanti 24-inch Gold Bullion wheels and a water dispenser with Russian diamonds, which the owner will need to fill the golden shishas (hookahs) in the portable smoking room. That's right, you heard the man: a portable smoking room. Where the occupants will retire when they're finished in the portable dining room. Of course.
Yes, it will even have leopard spotting painted onto its nano-coating, and so much more. You can check out the press release below from the source. Try not to be jealous.
Maybach officially discontinues all models for 2013
Tue, 14 Aug 2012The word "Maybach" has joined the long list of synonyms for the word "kaput." Mercedes-Benz released the price list for the 2013 models of its super-luxury sedans, with the price column simply stating "Discontinued" for each one of them.
The 2012 models, should there be any left for 11th-hour buyers, maintain the increased MSRPs that Daimler slapped on them late last year after it was known the brand would be terminated next year. But you might still be able to wrangle that $100,000 rebate if you ask nicely, or in Russian, or have Rick Ross ask for you.
It shouldn't be too long before we see the ultimate version of the next generation S-Class, the S600 Pullman, that will replace Maybach. Intriguingly, it's said the Pullman will be offered with every S-Class engine, even the four-cylinder diesel.
Aston or Bust? Maybach's fate to be decided next month

What will become of Maybach? That question has been rattling around the halls of Daimler headquarters in Stuttgart for some time now. But all questions will be answered, and answered soon: according to reports, the German automaker is currently evaluating prototypes and propositions for its top-end marque, and will make its decision next month.
So, what are the options? On the one hand, Daimler could kill the Maybach brand altogether. It was a notion ill conceived and even more poorly executed, taking an old platform and building a new flagship atop it. In that way, it was sort of like the Chrysler Crossfire, only far more costly to both the buyer and manufacturer. On the other hand, Daimler could opt for the long-time-coming proposition of contracting the production (and possibly much of the development) of a new generation of Maybachs to Aston Martin.
