Cruise, power windows, defrost, automatic thermostat control heat and air. JVC in dash CD player. Wood grain accents. Body is in excellent condition with no dents or rust. Red paint has some fading. Interior is in fair condition that needs new seat upholstery, has a cracked dash and passenger side windshield. One door panel needs reattached. Considering its age, its not in bad shape. All lights and lenses are good, the grill is good and both bumpers are good. This convertible has a removable factory hard top with matching paint is in perfect shape, including a good headliner and back glass. Has a newer soft top in tan color to match the interior, which is in great shape as well. All Mercedes emblems are also in tact. Would be a gem to restore! Popular Science magazine's Best Of What's New 2012 all ate up with cars

Carlsson SLK 340 Judd is winged up for hill climb glory
Wed, 06 Mar 2013Carlsson has been expertly tuning Mercedes-Benz products for more than 20 years now, but we can't say as we remember the outfit turning out anything quite so racy as this SLK 340 Judd that it has brought along to the Geneva Motor Show this year.
This SLK is meant for competition, obviously, and Carlsson has already booked the car to race in several hill climb events in the E1 category. The purpose-built racer should have a fighting chance to do well in said races, with a shape vetted in wind tunnel testing for maximum downforce, the SLK uses a carbon-fiber bodyshell to help achieve a curb weight of just about 1,720 pounds.
The featherweight SLK's name comes from its 3.4-liter V8 engine, which churns out a wicked 610 horsepower to go with its 317 pound-feet of torque. A Hewland transmission with paddle shift operation manages all of the thrust.
Mercedes S-Class Magic Body Control ad is clucking awesome
Tue, 24 Sep 2013This is a new ad from Mercedes-Benz. At no point does it show an automobile. Instead, it stars animals, but not the sort you might normally see in car commercial. This ad is all about chickens. It is bizarre, to say the least, with Diana Ross and the Supremes belting it out in the background, but it all kind of comes together when you realize just what Mercedes is hawking (yeah, pun intended).
It's for the manufacturer's Magic Body Control, found on the new S-Class. The system basically analyzes the road and prepares the suspension accordingly, leading to a ride that is, in the words of our own Chris Paukert "nothing short of spooky."
