For sale is a classic Mercedes-Benz 560SL with only 63,480 original miles! This car is beautiful inside and out. The 560SL is accident free and has a clean Carfax. It comes in one of its most elegant, RARE sought after color combinations Champaign Metallic exterior with Tan interior. It is truly a beautiful and elegant car! The paint is really nice and looks deep rich and shiny. There are no scratches, dings, dents or damage. There are a few minor chips in the paint that have been touched up with the factory color. This is a super nice car and you really have to try hard to find any imperfections. The soft top is original German cloth and is in excellent shape with clear windows. The original interior is in great condition and shows only very minimal signs of wear. There is some slight wear on the corner of the rear carpet which is normal for the age of the car. This dash is also original with no fading or cracking. All wood parts and trim look very beautiful with no cracking or peeling. The rims look brand new and the tires have plenty of life left. This Mercedes has no known mechanical issues at all! The a/c is ice cold and the steering is very tight. The 560SL drives and shifts very smooth like you would expect from a low mileage classic Mercedes-Benz. You can tell this 560sl was well cared for and meticulously maintained. Mercedes-Benz S-Class spied once again
Fri, 08 Feb 2013As evidenced by how little camouflage the next-generation Mercedes-Benz S-Class has been caught wearing lately, it can't be too much longer until the car will get its official debut. In our newest shots of the yacht-sized luxo sedan, the cladding still covers up the headlights, front fascia and most of the rear end, but we finally have an almost undisguised look at the rest of the car's lines.
Considering previous spy shots had more camo that better (or fully) concealed the S-Class' body, some of the more obvious things we see in these images include the prominent grille, the CLS-Class-inspired bodyside creases, the pointed trunk opening and, most interestingly, a lack of fancy exhaust outlets. Unlike other S-Class prototypes we've seen, this car does not have integrated outlets, but it does have two pipes on the left side of the car. All current S-Class models in the US and Europe feature a dual exhaust layout on each side of the car, so while some of our questions about the car get answered, it would appear that more are just arising.
2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG rumbles on stage 4Matic style
Mon, 14 Jan 2013Bruce Hornsby and his soothing piano skills helped introduce us to the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class, but the monstrous E63 AMG sedan needed no entrance music as it rumbled on stage. The 550-horsepower (and up) sedan sat proudly alongside the rest of the redesigned E-Class on stage at the Detroit Auto Show, but stood miles apart in intention and execution.
In addition to a choice of sedan and wagon body styles, the E63 AMG will also offer buyers the choice of the standard 550 hp or an upgraded 577-hp S-Model; regardless of output, all 2014 E63 AMG models will come standard with the 4Matic all-wheel-drive system.

Daimler buying 12% stake in Beijing Auto
Tue, 19 Nov 2013Daimler and Beijing Automotive are officially going steady, with the German company set to take a 12-percent stake in the Chinese brand tomorrow. The two are already tied up in a Mercedes engine plant in Beijing, of which BAIC will increase its stake in, from 50 to 51 percent. Daimler will also get two seats on the Chinese company's board. BAIC may also gain the ability to produce cars on Mercedes-Benz platforms, according to Automotive News Europe.
The investment in BAIC comes ahead of that company's initial public offering, according to a report form Bloomberg, which indicates the deal will be inked tomorrow in the Chinese capital. According to the report, if the circumstances are right, BAIC may turn around and invest in the Germany company "soon."
It's not entirely clear just how much the 12-percent cut is costing Daimler, although it seems reasonable to assume that, as it's ahead of the IPO, the parent company of Mercedes is getting a bit of a bargain.
