This unit is being relisted 4 the last time,due to a deadbeat wannabe bidder,who was kicked off the site. 73 Cougar, 351 Cleveland.Is a very complete car(minus wheel covers & a frt.parking light.) to make a bad old RaT rod,a classic ragtop driver,Or restore to better than new.has Alot of potential!!!(Or parts galore,if sadly dismantled.) This car Starts ,runs strong,drives,shifts well,brakes stop.Low miles are Orig. Is a pic of Orig. color on underside of decklid. I just replaced New, Rotor cap N plugs,starter,starter Solinoid,Accelerator pump,Fuel pump. Body is quite straight & solid overall,so to put her right will need ,some body prep & paint.Top motor worked fine both up & down,though the dash switch is interrmitant.Dash pad & top will need relacement,though the top bows are all good. Int. is still somewhat decent & useable 4 a driver,though console has some damage.Floor pans are solid 4 the most part,coupla small areas that require Attn. @ some point.Trunk pan also should be repaired &/or replaced,as well as the grill & hdlight area trim which is still intact though worn(Are easy parts to get,as are on Hdtps.as well.). Also need a battery,exhaust pipes & the gas tank(Which I removed,but still have.)Windshield has crack,rest of glass is good.All of the power windows will need going thru to make operational.Has factory AM/FM 8- track player. eBay Find of the Day: Mercury Marauder two-door convertible

Near as we can tell, it's the same 2002 Mercury Marauder that was modified into a two-door convertible by Ford for the 2002 Chicago Auto Show. According to the seller, this car still boasts its Eaton supercharger bolted to a 4.6-liter V8 engine, and at the time of its debut, the engine was rated at a lofty 335 horsepower. We have a hard time believing that the extra ponies would do much to offset the weight of the additional frame stiffeners and top mechanism on the car, however.
The vehicle is currently offered for sale by a dealer in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, though the listing is mum on how the convertible managed to make its way from Ford's Windy City show stand into the seller's inventory. Ford announces free brake pad offer if customers stop by dealers
Mon, 04 Aug 2014These days, when you buy a new car, it's not unreasonable to expect a certain period of free maintenance to come along as well. Sometimes this is through the life of the warranty, in other cases a little less. But Ford Motor Company is going beyond those deals for at least one part of its cars. As of now, if you buy a set of Motorcraft brake pads for a Ford, Lincoln or Mercury model, you get free replacements for as long as you own the vehicle. The offer is good at Ford or Lincoln dealers and Quick Lane Tire & Auto Centers.
"We will replace the pads for as long as you own the vehicle," said Elizabeth Weigandt to Autoblog. She did clarify that the Motorcraft pads are generally for models from the '90s or newer. Also, to take advantage of this program, a person must return to the same dealer each time to get the free parts.
Of course, Ford isn't just handing out brake pads to anyone who walks by; there are certain stipulations. First, the components have to be worn down to less than three millimeters to be eligible, and the buyer still has to pay for the labor to install them. If the model is used as a fleet vehicle for commercial purposes like as a taxi or limousine, this offer also doesn't apply; the same thing for racecars. On the plus side, if you recently bought a set of pads from one of the participating locations, you're still in luck. The deal covers parts purchased as of July 1.
Curtain officially comes down on Mercury as dealers remove signage
Mon, 03 Jan 2011The process of shutting down the Mercury is complete. Ford officially made the decision to close its mid-level brand in June of 2010. In the months that followed, Ford offered its dealers money to stop selling the cars, with production shutting down in September. The last Mercury, a Mariner, rolled off the assembly line in the beginning of October and former spokesperson Jill Wagner said her good-byes to both the car and her job. Now the last piece of the brand has come down as dealers are removing any and all Mercury signage from their lots.
