selling a very sharp looking 1972 mercury grand marquis brougham coupe , car is a one owner vehicle since new , car only has 44,000 miles , has sat in a garage for the last 20 years , car is in really good shape and condition for being 41,years old , car starts runs and drive great no issues , has a new battery , engine and trans are very smooth running , body is in overall good condition does have some surface rust but no big deal , no major rust on body or under carraige , tires are ok rims have hubcaps from a caddy i dont have original hubcaps , i am also willing to including a set of chrome rims if buyer wants them see pics , interior is in really good shape vinyl is great shape for the year , dash has no cracks at all , car has been cleaned inside and out since these pics , i will be posting newer pics soon as i have a chance , these pics do the car no justice , i was planning on keeping this car as part of my collection of cars but something has come up or else i would real liked to of keeped it , car is not mint but in great shape for what it is , i have decribed car to the best of my knowledge and selling it in as is condition no warrenties are implied , if you do not have CASH to buy please do not bid , if you have zerofeedback please do not bid or it will be kicked off , car is located in north new jersey , we must hear from winning bidder within 24 hrs of auction ending and picked up with 3 days of auction ending , PLEASE NO TIRE KICKERS OR DREAMERS ONLY SERIOUS CAR BUYERS

eBay Find of the Day: Mercury Marauder two-door convertible
Wed, 31 Aug 2011Never underestimate what you'll see on eBay Motors. Take this unique creation, for example. Near as we can tell, it's the same 2002 Mercury Marauder that was modified into a two-door convertible by Ford for the 2002 Chicago Auto Show. According to the seller, this car still boasts its Eaton supercharger bolted to a 4.6-liter V8 engine, and at the time of its debut, the engine was rated at a lofty 335 horsepower. We have a hard time believing that the extra ponies would do much to offset the weight of the additional frame stiffeners and top mechanism on the car, however.
The vehicle is currently offered for sale by a dealer in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, though the listing is mum on how the convertible managed to make its way from Ford's Windy City show stand into the seller's inventory. Ford recalls Five Hundred, Mercury Montego sedans over fuel tank woes
Mon, 18 Jul 2011Ford has announced through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that it is recalling nearly 3,000 examples of its Five Hundred and Mercury Montego (pictured) sedans from the 2007 model year.
The action, which affects 2,945 vehicles, is due to potentially defective welds between the filler neck and the fuel tank, a condition that could result in a fuel leak or the smell of gasoline reaching the occupants. In the worst-case scenario, a leak could cause a fire. Cars with the affected fuel tank problem could see an illuminated dashboard warning light as a result of the evaporative emissions leak being detected.
Ford will inspect and replace the fuel tank at no cost to owners (those who have already had the procedure done at-cost can apply for reimbursement), and the Dearborn automaker will begin notifying Five Hundred and Montego owners beginning August 15. Preposed class-action lawsuit targets 'defective' MyFord Touch
Tue, 16 Jul 2013A national law firm, Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP, has filed a proposed class action lawsuit whose presupposition is that MyFord Touch is defective. Specifically, the complaint states that the system - as well as the MyLincoln Touch and MyMercury Touch clones - often freeze, fail to respond to voice or touch commands and have issues connecting to mobile phones.
According to Hagens Berman managing partner Steve Berman, MyFord Touch is a theoretically "brilliant idea" that falls short in actual execution. Said Berman in a press release, "In reality, the system is fundamentally flawed, failing to reliably provide functionality, amounting to an inconvenience at best, and a serious safety issue at worst."
Other MFT issues enumerated within the 41-page filing include problems controlling the window defroster, rear-view camera and navigation system. The suit maintains that Ford is aware of the problem but has yet to submit a workable and acceptable solution to MFT customers. Scroll down if you'd like to read the full press release.
