You are looking at a 2005 British Racing Green Mini Cooper that I bought new in September of 2004 from Motor City Mini.  I love this car and took excellent care, but had to move up to a larger vehicle so it must be sold.  The Mini runs well, is smoke-free,  and gets approximately 35 mpg.

It is a 4 Cylinder 5-Speed Manual with Cold Weather Package (heated front seats and mirrors) that has been my daily driver for the entire time and I have all maintenance records as well as the original
items that came with the vehicle.

In November of 2012, I purchased new tires and have only driven approximately 1000 miles on them.

The body is in great shape with a couple very tiny rust spots on the hatch and hood.

The interior is in great shape and has minimal wear.  The front seats are black and tan leather and are heated. The back seats are tan leather and look like new.

Other features include Traction Control, ABS, Keyless Entry, Air Conditioning, Power Windows, Power Mirrors, Power Locks, Cruise Control, Power Steering, Tilt Steering, Dual Airbags, AM/FM Radio and besides the factory single disk CD player, I installed an aftermarket iPhone charger/player.  All features are in excellent working order - this includes the ice-cold air conditioning.

Buyer schedules pick-up at my home in Michigan and this sale is as-is, no warranty.  $500 deposit via paypal required at end of auction.  The title is clean and free of liens for transfer over when transaction is completed.

Should you have any questions or like more pictures, please contact me. Vehicle can be picked up in either Northville or Flushing Michigan.Thank you for looking!

Mini Superleggera Vision is the all-electric roadster Mini needs to make

Fri, 23 May 2014

It could be argued that Mini has not built a pretty car since the R53, the first of the reborn Minis, was put out to pasture at the end of 2006. I've owned two R53s, so yes, I'm horribly biased. The styling situation in Oxford hasn't improved much for 2014, either, as the bigger, more frightened-looking Mini begins to arrive in dealerships, boasting a very un-Mini-like front overhang. This, though, this works.
It's called the Superleggera Vision, and straight away, we should point out that it's not designed by Mini. It's a product of Touring Superleggera, whose other creations include the stunning Disco Volante. It's a darn nice piece of design, and we're especially fond of its tiny, Jaguar D-type-like rear fin. It's also perfectly designed for it's debut location - the Concours d'Elegance at Italy's Villa d'Este.
Despite being a Mini, the Superleggera still boasts a traditional roadster layout, with a long hood and a shorter rear deck. The front end boasts a pair of traditionally styled Mini headlamps, which sit above a version of the new Cooper's gaping grille. The profile is brightened by a pair of character lines, the most noticeable of which runs from ahead and over the front wheel wells toward the back of the diminutive droptop. Of course, we can't not mention that amazing fin. It should be fitted to every Mini Roadster posthaste. The rear of the car, meanwhile, almost reminds us of an old Aston Martin Vanquish, thanks to the shape of its taillights and their rounded rectangular enclosure. And yes, those are union jacks inside the taillights. God save the queen.

Mini goes zany with latest accessories catalog

Tue, 25 Mar 2014

Driving a Mini is most definitely an individualistic choice - one that not everyone would get on board with. So if you're going to go with such a fashion statement, you might as well give it your own sense of style. That's where Mini's new line of accessories come in.
Available for the new third-gen Mini hardtop, the accessories offer buyers the opportunity to customize their retro hatchback as best they see fit. There are roof graphics, accessory lighting, wheel upgrades and mirror caps (like the cartoonish ones pictured at right) just like you would have found in the parts catalog for previous iterations of the Mini, but now the brand is offering four appearance kits it's calling Mini Design Lines.
The kits are color coordinated in either Vivid Green, Speedwell Blue, John Cooper Works Pro (in black, red and grey) and Essential Black and include everything from the interior trim to exterior graphics. They might not be to everyone's taste, but that kinda strikes us as the point. Scope 'em out in the extensive high-res image gallery above and the details in the press release below.

Mini exiting WRC after just one year

Fri, 12 Oct 2012

There was a fair bit of hullabaloo two years ago when Mini announced a return to the World Rally Championship for this season, but the road to making that happen has been as rocky as a gravel stage. It spent 2011 developing its JCW Countryman WRC challenger, changing its mind about how it wanted to work with Prodrive, dumped a driver due to budget issues, then registering its entry after the deadline had passed in a ploy that might or might not have been a protest aimed at the WRC promoter.
Mini had stated that it wanted to win the whole championship in 2013, and spent 2011 doing six WRC rounds as development. As it stands for this year, the WRC Team Mini Portugal - paid for by Mini, run by ProDrive - scored 26 points in the first rally at Monte Carlo and has so far blanked the rest of the season. The relationship between Mini and ProDrive appeared to be an ever-contentious affair, at the end of this season, even the money will dry up along with what support there was.
Because it contested every race in the calendar, though, Mini says it has completed the FIA requirements for homologation of the JCW Countryman WRC; meaning that privateers can continue purchasing the car and run it in the WRC. BMW Motorsport is continuing development and parts supply of the 1.6-liter turbo engine, and a report in Autosport indicates that ProDrive will continue to run Minis in the series next year.
