2005 Mini Cooper S. 40k Miles. 6 Speed. Black/tan Leather. Jcw Wheels *nice* on 2040-cars
Rutherfordton, North Carolina, United States
For sale is a 2005 Black/white Mini Cooper S with extremely low mileage. 6 speed manual transmission. Non smoker. Around 40k miles. The vehicle is in excellent shape. I have installed infinity speakers all around as well as a JVC head unit. I have the factory stereo as well if you prefer that. It is the base stereo NOT Harman Kardon. The vehicle has Optional John Cooper Works wheels, Eibach standard pro kit springs, panoramic sunroof, and hella driving lights and fog lamps installed which make for incredible visibility at night. The interior is two-tone tan/black leather with all weather floor mats. This is a great vehicle! Interior and exterior are in excellent condition with extremely minor scratches/blemishes that can be found on nine year old used cars. Unfortunately I need to get rid of it due to going to graduate school to lower expenses. I have used it as more of a daily driver to get away from the low fuel mileage of my truck. Only 93 octane fuel has been put in it and the vehicle runs flawlessly.Tires are at about 50%. Make an offer! Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

Mini pokes fun at Anthony Weiner using fake Twitter account
Sun, 28 Jul 2013Mini, never one to pass on a marketing opportunity, has pounced on the plight of embattled New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner, who seems to have an issue with sending pictures of his genitals to young women. Observers will notice that this is the second time the unfortunately named Mr. Weiner has been in the spotlight for his picture messages.
Capitalizing on Weiner's alias, Carlos Danger, Mini has created an account on Twitter - @CarlosDMotor. With a note on the profile page listing "Danger" as the account's middle name, it's sent out just one tweet, containing the message, "Wanna get your hands on my stick?" Attached to the Tweet is a scantily clad Mini Cooper S, with a towel around its "waist" snapping a picture. Too soon? To borrow the brilliant pun from AdWeek, the "auto erotica" was the idea of Mini's marketing agency Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners. Click below for the full tweet.
Mini headed to North Pole to meet Santa Claus
Wed, 07 Nov 2012It seems that retailers are bringing out the Christmas decorations earlier each year, but Mini's premature holiday spirit could be one for the record books. The day after Black Friday, the "Mini Goes to Santa Claus" adventure will depart from BMW headquarters in Munich, Germany and head up Rovaniemi, Finland (just outside the Arctic Circle) to deliver Christmas letters to Santa Claus -he must have an mail outpost here for his North Pole workshop. Guinness World Records is also getting involved with this trek, by competing for a for the longest-ever wish list to Santa.
Mini has assembled teams of vehicles from 16 countries consisting of all of its current models to drive the almost 1,900 miles. Although it won't be a part of the convoy, the Mini Paceman will be in Rovaniemi to welcome the groups along with former rally driver Rauno Aaltonen who will "demonstrate his unequalled talent" while driving the Paceman. We're not exactly sure what this means, but snowy climates and rally drivers always seem to be a recipe for great entertainment to us.
Scroll down for Mini's press release, but we'll have to wait until later in the month to see what should be some pretty cool pictures of the trip.
Mini JCW Paceman vs. BMW M135i in family faceoff
Mon, 15 Apr 2013Over the last year, we've had the chance to drive two of the most exciting hatchbacks in the BMW family - the BMW M135i and the Mini Paceman John Cooper Works - but Autocar has managed to get the two corporate cousins together for a head-to-head comparison. Just like our initial impressions of the Paceman JCW, Autocar has little to complain about this new 215-horsepower hatchback... until it begins to factor in the faster, better-mannered and similarly priced M135i.
Despite laying down an extra 100 hp and delivering a 0-60 time that is almost two seconds quicker, the M135i carries the same price tag of 29,535 pounds in the UK; US pricing for the Paceman starts at $36,200, while it still isn't even clear if the US will be getting the M135i. Even more surprising is the fact that the Paceman falls short of the M135i in regards to rear seat and cargo volume, and just barely squeaks out a win in the fuel economy department. Scroll down to watch the BMW versus Mini hot hatch battle.
