Professionally maintained and tuned 2008 turbocharged Mini Cooper S Hardtop for sale. Modifications on the car were based around the RMW ecu tune which upgrades the car from the stock 173 HP to a healthy 222 HP. The ecu was personally and professionally tuned by Jan Brueggemann of RMW and CS Motorsports in Lannon, WI.  Dyno charts will be available and the Dimsport module which loads the tune will be sold with the car. It contains both the RMW and stock tune; each of which can be loaded in minutes.

The Akrapovic turbo downpipe, Quicksilver exhaust and K&N cold air intake give the car a sporty exhaust note without being obnoxious. Hella 500 driving lights augment the factory lighting and can be turned on and off independently.  There are 85000 miles on the car but I would not hesitate taking it on a long trip. It can be enjoyed both on the street as a daily driver or competed with in autocross or track day events. Bilstein Coilover suspension is aggressive enough for competition but livable enough for driving on city streets. Factory rear sway bar replaced with 3 way adjustable H-sport bar. It currently sports 215/45/17 Michelin Super Sport Pilot tires (purchased last March) on matte black Rota wheels.  Other small but tasteful modifications include alta shorty antenna, JCW grille, black front trim pieces and beltline blackout. There are rear foglights installed on the back of the car however they are not wired.

The body color is lightning blue and the roof is gloss black.  All receipts for maintenance and upgrades will be provided with sale. Pricing reflects the extensive and professionally completed upgrades on this car.

Additional Features:
Mechanical limited slip differential - Not available in new Minis as only an electronic LsD is offered.
6 speeed manual transmission - Getrag transmission shifts smooth and crisp

Additional Notes:
Adult owned,Non-smoker

Mini Paceman modified by Roberto Cavalli for annual Life Ball charity

Fri, 10 May 2013

This year's award for Life Ball Mini designer goes to Roberto Cavalli. The Life Ball is a charity event held in Vienna, Austria every year that raises money to fight the spread of HIV and AIDS. Since 2001, the year of its reintroduction, Mini has been involved with the ball, auctioning a car that has been made over by a world-famous designer. This year Cavalli gets the nod and a Paceman for a canvas.
The iridescent brown/black paint is the eye-catcher in the sketch above (click to enlarge), but don't forget to note Cavalli's logo on the roof. We're not sure what other flourishes he has in mind for the car, but those in attendance will find out on May 24 when it's unveiled at the Cavalli store opening in Vienna. The press release below has more details.

2013 Mini John Cooper Works GP will start at $39,950*

Thu, 25 Oct 2012

Get your wallets ready, folks. The 2013 Mini John Cooper Works GP arrives this fall, and we've now learned that the cost of entry for the potent little hatchback is $39,950, (*) including $700 for destination.
Aside from an adorably tough appearance, that just-under-$40,000 price tag gets you a whole host of performance goodies, including a turbocharged four-cylinder engine good for 218 horsepower and as much as 207 pound-feet of torque. No, that isn't any more oomph than what you get in the standard JCW Hardtop, but there's a whole lot more to the GP kit. For starters, there's a fully adjustable coilover suspension, not to mention a reduction in overall weight - at 2,558 pounds, the GP is 121 pounds lighter than a normal John Cooper Works Hardtop.
A Mini spokesperson confirmed to Autoblog that the JCW GP can only be purchased one way, and will be offered as an option package on the standard John Cooper Works Hardtop. Its starting price represents a $5,150 increase over a standard JCW model, and is the most expensive model in the Mini range (the next being the $35,550 John Cooper Works Countryman).

Next Mini Countryman spotted with swirls

Wed, 03 Sep 2014

Mini is continuing to update its models onto its latest UKL front-wheel-drive platform that it shares with parent BMW. Here, our spies caught an early glimpse of the next-gen Countryman testing on the new chassis.
Like the rest of the updated Mini lineup, the latest Countryman doesn't exactly show a huge shift in styling from the current version. The front end appears to be slightly more blunt, and the headlights have a redesigned shape. However, behind the A-pillar the differences seem to be pretty subtle. At the rear, the new Countryman also looks to adopt the brand's rounded rectangle taillights protruding into the hatch like on the standard Cooper Hardtop range. While not shown here, our spies claim that Mini is also aiming for a roomier interior for the upcoming crossover so that it can be more competitive in its class.
At least for now, the Countryman is going to be the largest vehicle in the Mini range, according to an earlier statement from chief designer Anders Warming. The CUV is rumored to debut around 2016 with some assembly possibly done at Mini's plant in the Netherlands. Until then, have a look at these spy shots and tell us what you think.
