2012 John Cooper Works Mini Coupe In Pristine Condition With Factory Warranty on 2040-cars
Sandy, Utah, United States
Thank you for considering my 2012 John Cooper Works MINI Coupe, the top of the line 208 HP coupe with a factory-modified turbocharged engine, JCW suspension, larger JCW wheels and tires, JCW four-wheel drilled Brembo brakes, JCW dual exhaust, JCW Sport and Performance and Cold Weather Packages, JCW badging and much, much more. Please do not compare my little go cart with the basic non-turbo Cooper coupe (168 HP/15 inch wheels) or the (188 HP/16 inch wheels) Cooper S coupe. Do not confuse this vehicle with a MINI coupe that offers the John Cooper Works Aero Package but not the stuff that really matters. I adore this car; it is as fast as the BMW M Roadster I owned a few years back, but the corners are where this coupe truly shines. MacPherson strut front suspension and multi-link rear suspension combine with anti-roll bars to give the MINI Coupe go-kart like handling. Silver White Metallic Paint with red racing stripes down the center, red top, 17-inch black wheels and Continental tires adorn this unique John Cooper Works coupe, and everything I just mentioned is in excellent (if not showroom) condition. No dents, dings, scratches or road rash...period. Every forward-facing body part is protected by Clear Bra, and I will never own another car that isn't. It has anti-lock brakes and 4-wheel drilled disc brakes, Dynamic Stability Control and every available performance and safety feature available from MINI except navigation. On the very rare occasions I use nav, I use the app on my phone. The Speed-sensitive electronic power steering is amplified in the Sport mode, as is the throttle response, so I drive almost exclusively in that mode...unless I am road-tripping and getting 38-39 miles per gallon at 65 miles per hour! This is the most unique, fun and best-engineered sports car I have ever owned. Better than my 2006 Honda S2000, my 2005 Nissan 350Z, my 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera, my 2002 BMW M Roadster, my 2006 BMW M Roadster or my original (first one sold in Utah) 2002 MINI Cooper S. This rare coupe has a little less that 25k miles and will enjoy free Mini Service through May of 2015 and full factory bumper-to-bumper warranty through May of 2016. I have included an exhaustive list of features and options below, but feel free to call me with any questions or comments. There are no/zero surprises with this car, so bid with confidence. Under some circumstances, I may be able to deliver the car to you. In response to a couple of questions I received about the VIN check showing 3 previous owners, please disregard that information. The VIN check is counting the dealership where I bought the car as the second owner, which can't be true since they never titled the coupe while it was in their possession and only put about 20 miles on it while they were in possession of it. If the number of owners was correct, the score on this car would be 97 instead of 94. Sorry about the confusion, but I am the second owner. You would be the third owner and, when the car is titled, the number of certified owners would be correct. Be advised that I previously listed this vehicle on ebay, but that deal didn't work out. This is a new posting with a lower price. Thanks, Mike 801.891.1938 Vehicle Description (including every option)

Mini John Cooper Works gets ready to rumble
Fri, 14 Nov 2014Mini gave us our first taste of its next-generation John Cooper Works Hardtop in concept form at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. And in fact, we already know that the production version will make its debut at the 2015 Detroit show in January. Fitting, then, that this most recent round of spy shots shows a JCW that's pretty much ready to roll - peel back that yellow swirly paper, and you've pretty much got the final deal.
It's easy to make out the final design for the revised front and rear fascias, and we can clearly see a more robust brake package nestled behind those alloy wheels. Speaking of, we must admit, the wheels here look rather pedestrian for a JCW model, but they could just be prototype rollers and not indicative of the final rolling stock. We expect the flashy red decals of the concept to be offered on the production model, as well, though they could be optional kit.
As reported earlier, power is expected to come from a 230-horsepower turbo-four - a modest increase over the 208 hp from the outgoing Mini JCW. Expect that to route through a six-speed manual transmission, sending turbocharged oomph to the front wheels.
Mini could go even bigger with next Countryman
Mon, 25 Nov 2013We recently reported that the new family of Minis could balloon from eight models to ten or more, but it's not only the model line that's expected to grow: so too could the largest model itself. That, of course, would be the Countryman, which is already bigger than anything else ever to wear the Mini badge. But if you think the current Countryman is already big enough, the latest reports suggest that it could get even bigger. Apparently parent company BMW feels a larger Mini crossover would better compete with more mainstream models in the marketplace.
The Countryman, however, will only be one of the new variants to spin off of the new third-generation Mini. Expect the new Hardtop hatchback introduced in LA to be followed by a new Cabriolet, Roadster, and Paceman. A five-door version of the base hatchback will also join in addition to the new Clubman, which is tipped to get a split tailgate instead of the single hinged aperture on the current model. The jury's still out on the Mini Coupe, which has largely failed to impress, while a convertible crossover could be back in the mix along with the rumored plug-in hybrid version.
Mini Superleggera Vision Concept keeps us hangin' on [w/video]
Fri, 03 Oct 2014Mini's Superleggera Vision Concept may not be a Paris Motor Show debut, but this is the first time we've seen this stunning all-electric roadster in the metal, having been first shown on the tony shores of Lake Como at Villa D'Este in May. While it's small in stature, it's still big on both presence and detail, from its overall stubby yet sleek proportions to its Union Jack taillamps, Jaguar-esque rear fin and elegant rearview mirrors.
We still don't know much more about what powers this Touring Superleggera coachbuilt showcar, as any powertrain specifics are conspicuous by their absence, but we'd welcome both a pure electric version and something powered by the BMW/Mini turbocharged three-cylinder currently making the rounds in the new Mini Cooper.
Last we heard in September, any decisions on a production future for the Superleggera Vision have been tabled, with word being that a further six months of study is planned before Mini decides to greenlight or nix the project. We'd love to tell you that the fact that it's here in Paris is a great sign, but we wouldn't believe us, either.
