1993 Mitsubishi 3000 GT VR-4
This vehicle still maintains the original metallic green exterior with oyster tan interior. They body is in great shape with the exception of some panels that have been repainted. I will note the rear aero spoiler is inoperable. All exterior lights are in working order and headlight doors operate correctly. The interior is in good shape, the two front seats have been recovered by the previous owner, and stereo has been replaced by a Sony CD player. Everything else is original and working great!
Mechanically, this VR-4 is in fantastic shape for its age. It was traded in at a local Ford dealership earlier this year and I've personally developed a soft spot for these cars, and I replaced a valve cover gasket as well as replaced the clutch assembly. It boasts almost 15 pounds of turbo boost, with no valve seat smoking, or fluid leaks after extended periods of being parked. The only two issues that concern me is the tachometer only goes up to 1500. I was told it was a Cam Sensor? After being parked for several days, the right rear axle pops for a few feet until driven. The tires and brakes are in great condition. There are no dash lights on and has recently been serviced. The air conditioning and heat both work great; the digital display screen is in perfect shape as well!
This 3000 would make a great toy or for everyday driving. Vehicle can be inspected and tested weekdays 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport recalled over brake lamps
Fri, 05 Apr 2013Mitsubishi is recalling certain 2013 Outlander Sport models for a couple of brake-related reasons. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the brake lamps may illuminate continuously or intermittently. On top of that, the NHTSA report states that the vehicle's shift lever could be moved out of the Park position without depressing the brake pedal.
A total of 4,539 Outlander Sport models are being recalled for these issues. All of the affected vehicles were built between June 11 and September 11, 2012.
Obviously, both of these issues can be hazardous. If the brake lamps do not illuminate properly, other vehicles may not realize that the car is stopping. And if the shift lever can be moved from Park without touching the brake pedal, the vehicle could roll away unexpectedly.

Thu, 21 Nov 2013Mitsubishi's current Outlander Sport has done a yeoman's job since it came on the market for the 2011 model year. The affordable crossover has been one of the few bright spots in the perennially troubled automaker's lineup - it's the brand's best seller in the US and sales are up nearly 40 percent this year. The subcompact CUV has become an increasingly important part of the Mitsubishi lineup, which is why you should pay attention to this XR-PHEV Concept - it's said to presage the next-generation model.
Stylistically, this is a pretty bold little CUV, with a striking face framed by bold zig-zags of chrome that underline the narrow headlamps and frame the massive lower fascia. The profile has a dramatically tapered greenhouse with bold sheetmetal contours and a funky blacked-out A-pillar that emphasizes the hood's height. The rear end is no less dramatic, with dual-pane rear tailgate with a particularly fast rake.
As shown here, the XR-PHEV (pronounced "Cross Runner") is a four-seat CUV that motivates its front wheels through a turbocharged 1.1-liter, three-cylinder engine with 134 horsepower paired with a 120-kW electric motor. In pure-electric mode, the 14-kWh battery is said to be good for 52 miles of cruising range and the combined fuel economy bogey is 66 miles per gallon on Japan's lenient testing cycle.
Mitsubishi to offer new Galant, Montero in US?
Wed, 03 Apr 2013We admit it - we've been skeptical about Mitsubishi's fortunes here in the US for a long time now, and this month's reveal of the 2014 Mirage subcompact at the New York Auto Show didn't do much to quell our consternation. Yes, the Mirage should attract a certain portion of the buying population based on what will likely be the best fuel economy figures in its segment and a low price, but the profitability of basic small cars is limited even under the best of circumstances. Mitsubishi is clearly going to need something meatier in its portfolio if it wants to get back on track financially.
Help appears to be on the way. According to The Detroit Free Press, Masatoshi Hasegawa, the company's executive vice president here in North America, has confirmed that at least two more models are destined for the company's US dealerships, and it looks like they're going to be entries into higher-volume, higher-margin segments. Hasegawa pledges that the company will overhaul its lineup over the next two to three years, and one of them will be a successor to the often-ignored Galant, a midsize sedan we last saw for the 2012 model year.
And what of the other model? Apparently it will be an unnamed "bigger brother" for the new 2014 Outlander, an acknowledgment that suggests Mitsubishi is considering bringing its Montero/Pajero SUV back to the States. Earlier this month, we heard a report that a next-generation model for the venerable off-roader remains a few years out, but it's possible Mitsubishi might import the current aging model before the new one is produced. A big shift is said to be in the works for the fifth-generation model, with a massive weight loss and possible plug-in hybrid variant tipped as top goals for the program.
