Up for auction is a 1998 Eclipse 4g63 GST and a 1996 Talon TSI donar car, I bought the 98 few years ago for the sons first car then he decided he wanted a 4x4 instead. 98 needed a fuel pump and transmission when i bought it along with alot of tlc, i put tranny in and it drove around the yard last spring fine. I just pulled it down this winter and now it goes fine in reverse and labors going foward. My son dosent want it now so im not going to finish it now or try to figure out what is wrong.
Both cars are auto but when i installed the transmission i notice the 98 has 3 pedels and a master cly for the clutch, so origanily this car was a manual and may be easy to swap back if wanted
The bad on the 98

Under drivers side rocker is dented up (can only see if looking from under)
Only downpipe installed, (i have the rest of the exhaust)
Leakes oil/power steering fluid
Needs rear shocks
No battery
Some rear interior pieces missing (may be in donar car)
Needs aligned
Tires are trash
idled rough when i started it last weekend, started and moved it today and idled fine idk
missing the eclipse side skirts, have all the talon skirts tho
The Good on the 98
Greddy front mount intercooler w/ upper pipeing
HKS BOV
I have all 4 black wheels
Have the reverse lights (not in picture)
Fresh paint on rear bumper cover and rear quarters, a tree put a scratch by the gas fill door
Raider Duraflex front bumper cover
Turbo spools fine
98- 108xxx mi, 96 117xxx mi The 96 has no motor, tranny, front suspention, and missing any parts i needed for the 98. i have the titles for both cars 98 is a rebuilt title, this car is what i would call a "work in progress" car is runs and drives but will need alot of work to finish into a daily driver and will need to be trailered home, its not a perfect car or new in anyway. I have listed everything i know that is wrong with the car and will add more if i think of anything else.
Winning bidder can remove any parts of the 96 that they want or take the entire thing or leave it and i will scrap it, i have means of loading the 96 if needed
Please read decription carfully and ask any questions before bidding, i will canel any bids from bidders with no feedback unless i am contacted before bidding, what you see is what you get it is "as is" Thank you for looking!!

2014 Mitsubishi Mirage
Tue, 07 Jan 2014This could have been something great. Last fall, Mitsubishi slapped its triple-diamond badge on a dainty little hatchback called Mirage, offering plenty of functionality and 44 miles per gallon on the highway, all starting at a super-low $12,995. For budget shoppers, this seemed to be a good thing - not to mention a much-needed breath of fresh air for the company's waning US automotive arm.
I will fully admit to being a bit harsh on the Mirage following its debut at the 2013 New York Auto Show, often making it the butt of jokes with my colleagues. But at the end of the day, I love cheap, basic, honest little cars like this, and I wasn't prepared to write off the Mirage until I spent some time behind the wheel. After all, on paper, a Mazda2 looks pretty unremarkable, and yet it's one of my favorite small cars to drive.
Much as I wasn't looking forward to putting my foot in my mouth, I was sort of hoping to feel the same way about the new Mirage. It's a bland package, but it could have been filled with the same spunky spirit and well-meaning composure of vehicles like the aforementioned Mazda, or even stuff like the Honda Fit or Chevy Spark and Sonic.
Mitsubishi CEO vows to stay in US on heels of Suzuki's departure
Wed, 07 Nov 2012By now, you're surely aware that Suzuki is pulling out of the US market. It was a bit of a foregone conclusion to most who've been paying attention to the automotive realm, but it still sent a small shockwave through the industry. And one of the most oft-heard retorts goes something like this: "Next up: Mitsubishi."
It's easy to understand why many question Mitsubishi's existence in the States. After all, now that Suzuki is gone, Mitsubishi is the Japanese automaker with the fewest sales in America. Furthermore, the automaker's market share has dropped from .7 percent to just .4 percent after seeing sales fall 29 percent to 50,103 units through October.
In any case, Mitsubishi fans needn't worry. Speaking to Automotive News, Mitsubishi President Osamu Masuko said, "We have no intention whatsoever of withdrawing from the US market." That's about as clear as clear can get. It's also worth mentioning that Gayu Uesugi was just named chairman of Mitsubishi Motors North America, and his main responsibility will be to revitalize the brand in the US.
Long-serving Mitsubishi president Masuko to step aside
Fri, 31 Jan 2014Long-struggling Mitsubishi Motors is reportedly preparing for a changing of the guard at home. According to Reuters, Osamu Masuko will step aside in favor of Tesuro Aikawa, currently the company's managing director. Masuko won't be leaving the fold entirely, however - he will take the role of chairman, displacing Takashi Nishioka, who will resign. The shakeup has not been confirmed by Mitsubishi, but word is that the changes will take effect April 1.
Mitsu's US troubles are no secret, but the brand's struggles in its home market haven't been quite so publicized. The company was bailed out by other arms of the Mitsubishi empire, and it just raised $2 billion this month to buy back preferred shares that were issued during the bailout. Masuko served as president for nearly ten years, during which the brand's US efforts utterly stalled out, recalls cropped up in Japan and an alliance with Daimler (which was DaimlerChrysler at the time) disintegrated.
According to Reuters, establishing the kind of alliances that will allow the brand to grow, such as its tie-up with Renault-Nissan, are key to Mitsu's long-term success. The thought is that an alliance will allow the brand to come up with some innovative models that won't be compromised by its lack of production scale. It looks like Aikawa has his work cut out for him.
