Selling a nice Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T with only 77,200 miles. This is the last year of the Generation 2 models and is equipped with a nice peppy turbo charged 4cyl engine with automatic transmission. These are coming harder to find, especially ones that have not been all hacked up. The Eclipse has sat for the past three plus years, though it has been started it really needs to be driven. It is in stock condition with the exception of an aftermarket Injen intake system and Greddy Blow Off Valve. The timing belt was replaced around 70,000 miles. Just had the brakes done, including pads, rotors, rebuilt calipers, new tires, new NGK plugs, new PCV valve, fresh synthetic oil change, and new fuel filter (yet to be installed). Car runs and drives good with clean interior and shiny paint. Has the typical clear coat peeling on the spoiler and front bumper but still presentable. The air conditioner doesn’t seem to be working and could really use new exhaust as the original exhaust is pretty corroded from sitting. This would make a great first car or a nice base for someone looking for speed. Please only serious buyers and cash is always a plus. I am not interested in trades. Mitsubishi ASX is French for Outlander Sport
Fri, 28 Sep 2012Mitsubishi has revealed the Euro-version of the same Outlander Sport model that debuted with updates earlier this year at the New York Auto Show. No, the French do not call it the Royale Sport (with cheese), but rather the ASX.
The crossover has received a range of aesthetic and engineering tweaks, including revised interior fabrics. Designers have also abandoned the old rotary knob switch for the vehicle's all-wheel-control system in favor of a pushbutton interface, though the largest change to the recipe comes in the form of a reworked multi-link rear suspension. Powertrain options remain unchanged, however, with a total of three engine mills on deck, including a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with 115 horsepower mated to a five-speed manual transmission in two-wheel drive configuration.
Those hunting up a little more traction can step up to a 1.8-liter diesel with 147 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque paired with a six-speed manual and the buyer's choice of either a two-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive system. A low-CO2 1.8 diesel is also available with 114 horsepower. You can check out the full press release below for more information.
Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV production restarts after five-month delay
Wed, 21 Aug 2013Back in March, production of both the Mitsubishi Outlander plug-in hybrid and the all-electric i-MiEV ground to a halt over a pair of incidents where overheated lithium-ion batteries caused vehicle fires. Following the rocky start, The Japan Times is reporting that production of the Outlander PHEV has recommenced following the five-month stoppage.
The battery fires were tracked down to a supplier issue before more than 4,300 vehicles were recalled in June, but Mitsubishi received heavy criticism from the Japanese government for the delayed recall. According to the report, though, that hasn't slow down enthusiasm for the plug-in crossover - Mitsubishi has received close to 18,000 for the Outlander PHEV. To keep up with demand, the automaker is planning to double production to 4,000 units a month.

On Thursday, qualifying times for six categories were set on the bottom-section switchbacks of Pikes Peak: Electric Modified - near-unlimited showcases of electric-vehicle engineering; Electric Production - electric vehicles "readily available to the public;" Open Wheel - single engine, open wheeled, open cockpit, single seat vehicles; Open - based upon a production or approved-aftermarket-replica vehicle; Exhibition - a prototype or pre-production vehicle limited to one year of eligibility in this class; and Vintage - vehicles and drivelines from 1990 or earlier.
