Hi there, up for sale is this great running & great looking 2006 Nissan Altima SE-R sedan. This is a very rare sports sedan & only limited units were built. It has never been in an accident & had only 2 previous owners. This beautiful sedan is in amazing condition. It is in exceptional state & probably one of the cleanest one of this trim out there. Fully loaded with Leather bucket seats, Bose premium sound system, HID headlamps, Heated seats, In-dash 6-CD changer, 18'' Forged rims, Power driver seat, Sun-roof, Satellite radio, On-board computer, key-less entry, Cold AC, Hot heat, Cruise control, Central locking, Steering-wheel controls & much much more. Does an impressive 25+MPG average overall. It has been very well kept & regularly maintained by the Nissan dealer with service history record. Original 18" rims with newer tires all around. Runs like a champ. Everything on this car works to perfection. A solid & great-looking car inside out. Strong & flawless power-train. Both inside & outside are about 9/10. No issues, no warning lights, no leaks & no weird noises. Strong engine with no apparent leaks anywhere & smooth shifting transmission. Clutch holds strong. This is originally a Florida car which was later sold & driven in Virginia only. Hence, there is no rust issue. It just passed the VA safety inspection & emissions test with no issues at all. Rear bumper cover & rims have some scratches. The car sometimes skips the 3rd gear & probably needs some attention there. However, it does not affect the performance & drive at all. The car goes through all the gears just fine & smooth, excluding the 3rd shift. The retail book value of this car is around $12K. You won't find a car like this in such condition at this price. Comes with original key with alarm remote & all the manuals, including the original window sticker. Clean title in hand. The car is ready to go anywhere, anytime with no worries whatsoever. Test drive it to truly appreciate this beauty. Thanks for looking & happy bidding!!

You're more than welcome to test drive & inspect the car before you bid. If you have any questions or inquires, feel free to ask before completing the transaction.

Seller reserves the right to end the listing earlier if the vehicle is sold locally. This vehicle is being sold "AS IS - WHERE IS" with no warranty, expressed written or implied. However, this vehicle does qualifies for an extended warranty, which is available at extra charge.

Demand for electric car rentals unplugged by range anxiety

Tue, 15 Oct 2013

It's the hurdle that electric vehicles must clear to be launched into the mainstream: range anxiety. But this time it isn't prospective customers who worry about running out of juice, Bloomberg reports, but renters who return to car rental agencies before their lease is up and trade their EVs in for more traditional gasoline-powered autos and gas-electric hybrids.
"People are very keen to try [electric vehicles], but they will switch out of the contract part way through ... they think they can't get to a charging station," says Lee Broughton, head of sustainability at Enterprise. Enterprise customers who rent EVs reportedly trade them in 1.6 days into the rental period on average, which compares unfavorably to the six- to seven-day rental periods of traditional, fuel-burning automobiles.
Christopher Agnew, an analyst at MKM Holdings LLC, says that longer range would help rental customers' range anxiety, especially since they are usually renting vehicles in unfamiliar places.

Next Nissan GT-R to take cues from GT-R LM Nismo Le Mans entry

Fri, 06 Jun 2014

For those wondering why Nissan named its coming Le Mans Prototype the GT-R LM Nismo, colliding the two worlds of sports car and prototype racing, an article in Autocar might have the answer. The deeper union is explained by saying that the next-generation GT-R will use "hybrid technology that will closely align it" with the GT-R LM Nismo.
The point could be further driven home by the fact that the GT-R LM Nismo will begin its FIA endurance racing campaign next year, and the next GT-R is due to debut next year as a 2016 model. The expectation is that it will use a hybrid system possibly dubbed R-Hybrid and perhaps developed by Williams. Just like performance car makers Ferrari and Audi, Nissan wants its racing efforts to pay off with road car technology, company vice president Andy Palmer saying they "want to link technological linkages between future evolutions of the GT-R and evolutions of what we do in LMP1, and the two do go in both directions."
The bigger question is, with the GT-R getting hybrid assistance, will it also get the weight gain that usually comes with it? Enthusiasts would love to see the trend reversed, especially on a car that's already no lightweight.

Nissan will restore Craigslist Maxima, display at headquarters [w/video]

Sat, 08 Feb 2014

Nissan showed that it had a great sense of humor when it bought Luke Aker's beat-up 1996 Nissan Maxima GLE for $1,400 back in December based solely on the quality of his tongue-in-cheek sales video.
Aker's Maxima had been thoroughly driven. It needed a strap to keep its hood closed, had front end damage, a missing turn signal and shredded leather seats. Of course, like Aker said in his ad, the car was still "fully loaded with an engine, wheels, tires and an automatic transmission." How could Nissan resist?
After buying the car, Nissan teamed up with MotorAuthority to decide what to do with it. The winning idea was to restore the car to its proper condition and display it at Nissan North America headquarters in Franklin, TN, with Aker's video playing nearby. According to MotorAuthority, the car has finally made it there, and its rebirth will begin soon. Nissan is not sure when the car will go on display.
