Asking $12,200 OBO"

I have a 2007 Nissan Frontier in very good condition. I have owned it for 4 years, and have only used 100% synthetic oil. It has power windows, door locks, mirrors, bed liner, alloy wheels, new 70K mile tires, non smoking, clean interior, with only 48K miles on the odometer. Carfax shows an airbag deployment in the vehicles past, (prior to me owning it). along with two other minor incidents. I have had the car inspected and found no evidence of a frontal impact repair. You are invited to have your own inspection done. The airbag deployment was most likely the result of a low speed impact, and was properly and professionally repaired. The previous owner was a older well to do lady, who didn't abuse the truck but must have had problems driving. The title is clear. Edmunds good condition value for the truck as equipped is $13,060,and Carfax in spite of their report, values it at +410 over the book value due to the low mileage. The paint is in good conditions, there are 3-4 small dings which can be cleanly removed by dent wizard, The truck is extremely solid in every way, and needs nothing. Clear title in hand, Asking $12,200 OBO

Ever wonder how to really pronounce Japanese automaker names?

Thu, 25 Sep 2014

People tend to get very set in their ways when it comes to the pronunciation of words. Just look at the endless debates over whether or not to say the final 'e' in Porsche (which you should in terms of correct German enunciation). Or the argument about whether to follow the British convention and give the 'u' in Jaguar a special delivery or to say the 'ua' diphthong as more of a 'w' sound, as usually happens in the US.
This short video doesn't answer either of those automotive questions, but it does allow a native Japanese speaker to demonstrate the accepted pronunciations for several, major automakers from the country. One benefit is that it clears up the occasional debate over whether Nissan should be said with a long or short 'i' sound. Also, listen closely to how the female host says Mazda as Matsuda, the way it's actually said in the language. Even if this doesn't change the way you enunciate these brands, at least now you know the accurate way in Japanese.

2015 Nissan Micra is your cheapest new car, Canada

Thu, 13 Feb 2014

Canadians looking for a brand-new car on the cheap, take note. This is the 2015 Nissan Micra, and it will arrive at dealerships this spring boasting a starting price of $9,998 Canadian dollars (circa $9,100 US), well under the $11,898 asked for a 2014 Versa Sedan.
Of course, that ultra-low asking price isn't for a fully loaded model. The Micra will arrive in the Great White North in three trims - S, SV and SR - with the buyer's choice of a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic. A 109-horsepower, 1.6-liter four-cylinder is the sole engine choice. There will also be a number of accessory options that should allow some personalization for the small cars, with Nissan claiming that things like door handle finishers and mirror caps will be available in five different colors (plus chrome) for under $200.
"At Nissan, we understand the need in Canada for small, urban-friendly cars that are fun to drive and express their driver's personality. With Micra, we're delivering a proven global vehicle at a very attractive price - it's going to make a huge impact on the market," said Christian Meunier, the President of Nissan Canada.

Nissan teases sedan concept for Beijing [w/video]

Sat, 15 Mar 2014

Nissan is giving us the first tease of its creatively named New Sedan Concept that is premiering at the Beijing Motor Show on April 20. The single image shows the vehicle wearing a diaphanous robe that is just translucent enough to make out its headlights, V-shaped grille and badge. The rest is still a mystery.
The New Sedan Concept is aimed at young, digitally focused Chinese buyers, according to Nissan. Its look came from a collaboration between the company's design centers in China and Japan and was led by Chief Creative Officer Shiro Nakamura. However, the teaser certainly makes the New Sedan look a lot like the Sport Sedan Concept from the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. Hopefully, this is truly a new model and not just a repaint.
Scroll down for the full press release and a video of executive design director Mamoru Aoki discussing the new concept and previous ones.
