Nissan Gt-r Premium on 2040-cars
Vernal, Utah, United States
Up for sale is a 2013 GTR Premium edition. It's Gun metal grey with black interior. This GTR has a REBUILT Utah title from previous flood damage. The GTR was brand new on transport truck and was caught in Hurricane Sandy in 2012. I purchased the car from a dealer that had bought it from the Insurance Auction. When I bought the car it had 3 miles on the odometer. The body of the car still had the transportation plastic wrapped all over the car. Upon first inspection the car showed no signs of flood damage. The underneath of the car has no rust, and the interior still had the new car smell. Upon close inspection I realized the flood had damaged the internals of the motor and transmission. I looked at buying a new motor and transmission from Nissan and realized that it would be cheaper to buy a wrecked GTR and transfer the parts. I found a light front end wrecked 2009 GTR from California with 34,400 miles. Since I had a complete parts car, I went ahead and switched everything over to the 2013 including any wiring or electronics that might cause problems years down the road. Since completion the GTR now has 1400 miles on the chassis. The odometer shows 36,500 which is actual mileage on the motor and transmission. The brakes, rims, tires, suspension, radiator, a/c system are all from the original chassis and have 1400 miles. I can show verification of miles on the parts car for any interested buyers. This car drives great with no issues, everything works as it should like a factory2013 GTR. About 500 miles ago I installed a few mods to the car to increase the power. Virtual Works Racing 3 inch intakes AMS 3 inch downpipesHKS Legamax Catback exhaust and resonated midpipeEcutek with 4 different boost mapsTien lowering springs Transmission fluid serviceFront and rear differential fluid changeMobil 1 oil change I would estimate the GTR to have about 600 hp right now. We don't have E85 here in Utah so I didn't upgrade any fuel. If the new owner is interested I can install bigger injectors, pumps, flexfuel for an additional fee. This will give the GTR about another 80-100 hp

Worker killed at Nissan Tennessee plant
Sat, 27 Apr 2013A worker has died at the Nissan assembly plant in Smyrna, TN following an accident. According to The Detroit News, the tragedy happened Thursday and involved a large electric panel that fell while it was being moved. The victim was not a Nissan employee, he was a worker for Michigan-based supplier Complete Automation.
Nissan has not released the name of the deceased, but has vowed to cooperate with the authorities investigating the accident. The Murfreesboro Post notes that this is the second death at the plant in recent years - in 2012, a transport truck driver was killed after his rig rolled forward, crushing him between his cab and trailer.
Runway Rumble: Nissan GT-R, Ducati 1098 and Lamborghini Reventon Roadster battle it out
Tue, 29 Jan 2013One 2.5-mile runway, three different ways to take off: a Ducati 1098, a tuned Nissan GT-R with 580 horsepower and a launch control upgrade, and a Lamborghini Reventon Roadster. You'd naturally expect the Ducati to assert it's lightweight, high-horsepower authority in these matters, but with more than two miles to run, the ride that gets the jump at the line isn't always the one that gets the win.
That comes in especially handy for the Lamborghini, which suffers from a bad start in the first race and just looks plain ordinary in the second, until it finds redemption. You can see how it all goes down in the video below.
Nissan Leaf resale value expected to take a hit
Mon, 03 Jun 2013Nissan Leaf resale values may take a tumble, according to Kelley Blue Book. The vehicle evaluation resource said the 2013 Nissan Leaf will retain around 35 percent of its MSRP after three years; that's down five percent from what KBB gave the 2012 Leaf at the end of 2011. Automotive News reports KBB adjusted the EV's residual value prediction because the used transaction prices for the 2011 model have stuck around 35 percent for the past few months due to relatively cheap gasoline, not to mention the fact that Nissan trimmed the electric's MSRP from $36,050 to $29,650 before the $7,500 tax credit.
Since used buyers are often motivated by more practical buying concerns than early adopters or those wanting to curb their carbon emissions, they may not be willing to pay more for an EV. Meanwhile, early Leaf models are now coming to auction, abandoned by rental car companies after customers shunned them in favor of traditional internal-combustion vehicles. Many of those at auction have less than 10,000 miles and carry an average transaction price of just $13,700.
