We do not just want your business today.we want you to come back in the future, too.Inspired by super high-speed trains, the 2014 Nissan Quest cuts a bold silhouette that stands out in a crowd. It features distinctive rear wraparound glass, and a dipping side character line that makes it look like it's on the move, even when it's parked. Quest's available one-touch power sliding doors make loading up easy. Quest's interior seating can be configured to your preference. The sliding and reclining second-row captain's chairs fold flat with the pull of a lever, and the quick-release third-row bench seat easily folds flat or can be configured into a 60/40 split. The cargo well behind the rear seats is always open for business, thanks to third-row seats that fold forward. The Nissan Intelligent Key lets you tap a button on the door handle or hatch to unlock Quest, while your keys stay in your pocket or purse. Quest's legendary 3.5-liter V6 engine features an advanced valve timing system that optimizes its power and efficiency. The engine is paired with Nissan's Xtronic CVT creating a smooth ride with no shift-shock. Using hydro-electric power steering instead of hydraulic power steering cuts down on the amount of power needed from the engine. And that means more miles out of every tank. Front and rear vented disc brakes rapidly dissipate heat, giving you fade-resistant, sure-footed stopping power. The Nissan Advanced Air Bag System includes dual-stage supplemental front air bags with seat belt sensors and an occupant-classification sensor. Also, roof-mounted curtain supplemental air bags help protect you in the event of a side impact or rollover. The Pathfinder LATCH system lets you secure LATCH-compatible child restraints in the second row without having to use seat belts or a locking clip.

Nissan Kicks concept debuts in Sao Paulo [w/videos]
Tue, 28 Oct 2014The Sao Paulo Motor Show only comes around once every other year, and Nissan - an automaker deeply vested in the Latin American market - isn't missing out on the opportunity to showcase a new crossover concept.
Called the Kicks concept, the crossover seems to slot in size-wise in between the Juke and the Rogue. Nissan isn't saying much about it, though, aside from its having drawn its inspiration from Brazil with a "satin titanium" finish and bright orange trim - the former taking its cues from Sao Paulo and the latter from Rio.
While emphasizing its Brazilian character, Nissan also stresses that the concept's creation was "a product of global collaboration." So while it isn't saying anything about production feasibility, it is seemingly suggesting that if it were put into production - and as we stated previously, we think it just might - it could stand to be a global model and not confined strictly to South America.
Roller coaster or racecar, which pulls more Gs?
Tue, 15 Jul 2014Looking for a thrill? You're not the only one. You'll find kindred spirits at airfields going up for a skydive, atop bridges and towers with bungees attached to their feet and standing in line for roller coasters at the local amusement park. But you'll also find them in the paddock at the racing circuit.
So what's the commonality? G-force. It's like gravity, only in each of these cases, it's experienced by human invention. But which activity subjects your body to the greatest amount of g-force? That's what Nissan set to find out.
Before putting them back in the cockpit, Nismo sent out two of its young hot-shoes - Jann Mardenborough and Mark Shulzhitskiy - to an amusement park in the UK with a camera and a g-force meter to find out if any of the coasters could produce as much lateral gravitational force as an LMP2 racing car. See what they found in the pair of videos, below.
Nissan reviving Pulsar name for Euro market
Mon, 19 May 2014The Nissan Pulsar doesn't have what we'd consider a rich history in the US, other than on some models decades ago. However, the nameplate has been part of the Nissan lineup globally since 1978 and has proven popular in Asia and Australia. Now, the brand is teasing a five-door hatch to revive the name and hit European showrooms this fall.
The new Pulsar will be built at the company's recently renovated factory in Barcelona, Spain. It's not clear from the teaser whether this is the same model that is already sold in other parts of the world or a brand new vehicle. Although, Nissan says in the announcement that the car "has been designed to meet the specific demands of European car buyers."
With competitors like the Volkswagen Golf and Ford Focus, the European five-door hatch market is seriously competitive. It will be interesting to see if Nissan will have something special to bring to the table. Scroll down to read Nissan's full teaser about its latest hatchback in Europe.
