Welcome to my 1986 Nissan Sentra 2 door 1.6 Liter, 5 speed cream puff. And I do mean cream puff for sure. There is no rust at all throughout this entire car. It has lived out west since new. The undercarriage video will show just how nice this car is from the bottom up. Never in any accident which means all the body panels are factory original as well as the paint. A bit faded - but would buff out if that is your style. I don’t have to explain how dependable these cars are. They pull 39 mpg and are like 4 wheel sewing machines that don’t skip a beat.

This car has had a complete mechanical make over which starts with ALL fluids changed or flushed. Oil and trans are synthetic. Brake fluid is Dot 5 and coolant was mixed with distilled water.

Complete tune-up using NGK plugs and wires. Nissan factory Cap & Rotor. New fuel & air filters.

New timing belt and the three shaft seals — Crank, Cam, Intermediate shafts. New timing cover dust seal.

Valves have just been adjusted and a new cover gasket installed.

Original alternator has been rebuilt with armature, brushes, diodes and bearings. New belt.

Original carburetor rebuilt and fuel air adjustment plug drilled. Set up to meet proper emissions for the state of NJ.

New oil cap. Original included, but seeped a little oil due to age.

Wiper delay switch installed. 2-25 second timer. Still has low and high speed.

This car still sports the original exhaust with all the heat shields intact.

Brakes were removed and both front caliber sliders lubed. Rear shoes removed and backing plates lubed on the flats.

Brakes were too good to replace or I would have.

Rear wheel bearings checked and re-packed with high heat grease.

Shifter and linkage removed and lubed. Trans shifts smooth as silk.

  New shocks front and rear.

  New CV axles.

Coolant hoses and water pump pressure tested and are in fine condition.

Front Bumper and plastic fender inner liners removed. Bumper end caps tightened and fenders lined with insulation tape. This stopped the “tinny” noises over bumps.

Custom vintage wood water ski console with a real deal WWII shifter. Original parts retained and no extra holes were drilled. Custom floor “mood” lighting installed. Dash had a crack in it — so I sunk a cigar box and is great for odds and end storage.

The ignition switch was a bit touchy and temperamental — so I installed a heavy duty boat button. Key is still needed to operate button.

I say with confidence — this is most likely the nicest 86 Nissan on the planet !!  Just closing the doors and trunk will tell you how solid it is.

Even the rubber bleeder caps are intact with the hold down rings.

All of the 3 trunk cardboards are perfect intact with the tool kit and jack.

It has 112,150 miles on it, and if was missing the “1” you would believe it had 12,150. It is that nice and original.

I cannot stress how extremely nice and complete this car is and anyone who views it on my lift is equally impressed, and wonders how it has the miles showing. I say — someone must have rolled the speedometer ahead !

This was a one owner California car which was sold to a friend of mine who drove it to Oregon. After a few months, he sold it to me. I shipped it to NJ. I did this car as a surprise for my daughter, but it just did not please or excite her the way we expected. It is a bit ugly to look at, but that is pure character to me !!

If this car still interests you — I please ask that you sit down with a cup of coffee and spend a few minutes to view my short YouTube videos, which displays this car in detail from top to bottom. I don’t want any disappointments or surprises to anyone who comes to see this in person & I think you get to see more of the car this way.

Nissan poised to nearly double exports from US by 2015 [w/video]

Tue, 27 Aug 2013

As a part of a plan to double its US export volume by 2015, Nissan started shipping 2014 Pathfinder SUVs from its plant in Smyrna, TN to Australia and New Zealand. These Pathfinders are not only the first right-hand-drive models Nissan has exported from the US, but their 10,000-mile journey through the Gulf of Mexico and across the Pacific is also the automaker's furthest export.
Products from the Smyrna plant are exported to 61 different countries, and Nissan's export volume from the US will account for around 14 percent of its production this year, which is two percent more than 2012. Helping all this is the fact that by early next year, Nissan's production in North and South America will top two million units thanks to added capacity in the US and new plants in Mexico and Brazil. An official video made to look like a news feature joins the press release from Nissan posted below.

GT-R driver walks away from terrifying dragstrip accident

Tue, 17 Sep 2013

With all-wheel drive, launch control and a dual-clutch transmission, the Nissan GT-R may be easier to manage than most supercars. But that doesn't mean that dragging one on a wet strip is a good idea.
Filmed at the Unlimited 500+ drag race in Moscow, Russia, this video depicts a pair of GT-Rs going head to head. But things didn't go quite as planned when the driver of one lost control of her twin-turbo supercar. We'll let the video below speak for itself, but thankfully it appears no one was hurt - an outcome that seems particularly remarkable in light of the fact that it appears that the driver was not wearing a fire suit or helmet.

Nissan GT-R takes a bloody whack at supercar rivals in fake ads

Mon, 23 Jun 2014

A big part of what makes a supercar super is how it makes you feel, but the performance stats and bragging rights are undeniably a big part of the equation as well. Which means you can't ignore the fact that, even with its price ever escalating, the Nissan GT-R makes minced meat out of European exotics costing twice or three times as much.
That's the inspiration for this trio of fake ads from photographer Tim Kent. In this mock campaign, Kent has depicted the GT-R as a butcher's knife and the European exotics as pieces of slaughtered meat. Ferrari is symbolized by a package of horse meat, Porsche by a pack of sausages and Lamborghini as a pair of, um... "prairie oysters".
Of course the ads are never going to run anywhere, and if you're squeamish (or vegetarian) we wouldn't suggest looking at them in close proximity to your lunch. But we have to admit they're creative, and effective.
