1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme mild custom with 442 hood. Originally a well cared for and nicely optioned car. It now has some nice custom upgrades. The heart being a fresh Warmed up 455ci engine with TH400 trans.

Factory options include power disk brakes, power steering, power windows, Air conditioning (working) tilt steering wheel, console, floor shift and bucket seats. Original radio still in place. also has cruise but not working.

This Cutlass was a white with black top 350 car. It has never been a beat down car and it shows throughout. The OD states 44,000, and everyone knows how that goes, probably 144000 It could be a true 44000 mile car but I am not representing it as such.

Clues to the possibility of it being a low mile car include- Original steering wheel, gauges, radio and dash all in outstanding condition. pedals and knobs show minimal wear. Carpet is faded, but under the original floor mats still black and like new. Outstanding interior with minimal wear on the front seats, Back seat like new condition. nice original stickers in glove box, original rust free floors and trunk.

Custom upgrades include a low mile Warmed up 455 ci with edelbrock aluminum heads, intake and 750cfm Qjet carb(also edelbrock), roller rockers, timing gear, ceramic coated headers, aluminum radiator, duel electric fans, electric fuel pump, vintage thrush side pipes. Any horsepower rating would be a guess, but the edelbrock kit on a small block chevy will make over 400hp, and this isn't a small block chevy by any means. It is strong with a crisp thumpy idle but is not over cammed. It has great "pedal feel" and is very tight and responsive. It also runs well with the AC on. It also drives like a low mile car.

Clean and straight body with a nice dupont hugger orange paint job, shaved door handles (nice workmanship) with keyless entry. It is sharp! New Vinyl Top, again no rust.
Th 400 trans with original 10 bolt limited slip rear. Fiberglass ram-air hood.

NO RUST. Original metal
Floors and trunk are outstanding original metal with no patch work or thin areas. Quarters had small rust spots behind rear tires, repaired with new metal, The lower fenders had small bubbling and were also patched with new metal.
This car is not perfect, I don't think any over 40 year old classic is, unless your paying big bucks for perfection. It is a clean nice ride that will fit in at any local car show or cruise night, With a little work it could be a show stopper, but it is very enjoyable as it is.

Things the car needs- The undercarriage has not been detailed, it is clean but not fresh painted. The trunk is ready for factory style spatter paint. It is missing the reverse lenses. The front seats show minor wear and if you want to show the car as a high end car, they should be replaced. The passenger corner trim to the vinyl top is missing. I am sure it needs other little things that can be tinkered on here and there. All of the hard work is done.

Any interested buyer should inspect the car in person. This car was not built cheap, and it won't be cheap to buy, the engine alone has over 6 grand into it. The reserve is very reasonable for the quality of the car and the minor things it needs. It is affordable and a good deal, as it is not even close to the amount of time and money that has went into this car.

If you win, show up (or have the car inspected) and don't like the car you are not obligated to buy it.
As with any classic car, The car is sold as is.
Full payment within 7 days. If you can't pick the car up within 3 days a $200 holding deposit (non- refundable) will be required at the end of the auction. The winning bidder must contact me within 24 hrs of the auction closing or I will move on to the next interested buyer. This car is for sale so no games please. All funds must clear before title transfer and/or pick-up or shipping.
If you have any questions feel free to email.

eBay Find of the Day: 1976 GMC Motorhome is a jolly green giant

Wed, 18 Jun 2014

If you have a need to relive the 1970s, then here is the vehicle for you. This groovy blast from the past is a 1976 GMC Motorhome currently for auction in Florida on eBay Motors, and it is one green machine - just not in the modern sense.
The seller claims that this beast has had just two owners and has covered a mere 61,308 miles in its decades on the road. It's reportedly never been restored or repainted and comes with all of the necessary books and manuals. A 7.5-liter (455-cubic-inch) Oldsmobile V8 with a three-speed Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission powering the front wheels propels this far-out RV, and the double set of rear wheels out back use a self-leveling air suspension to provide a cushy ride.
The purported low miles and good condition really make this GMC a stand out, though. The exterior combination of lime stripes and beige with just a touch of green is like nothing else on the road today. Plus, the polished bumpers and wheels make it all pop. Inside, it's even better with monochromatic green upholstery and shag carpet. It features everything you'd ever need on a long trip, including a bathroom, kitchenette and lots of seating. The only hint of modernization is an HD TV next to the stove, but its size is a perfect fit for the hole there.

Ferrari FF pitted against Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser in crazy Generation Gap comparison

Thu, 13 Nov 2014

The folks behind Generation Gap have lost their minds with this latest video. The goal here is to determine the ultimate family cruiser, but the choices are what you would least expect, with a heavily modded 1970 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser going up against a 2012 Ferrari FF.
You might anticipate an over-40-year-old Oldsmobile to pale in comparison to any modern Ferrari, but this wagon has a ton of secrets under its skin thanks to Lingenfelter. First, it packs a supercharged LS3 V8 with a claimed 650 horsepower and a six-speed manual gearbox. That big upgrade in power is further helped with air suspension and massive Wilwood disc brakes. The result is nothing short of deafening, with blaring yelps whenever the driver even nudges the accelerator.
The alternative sounds just as good, albeit in very different way. The Ferrari's 6.3-liter V12 pumps out 651 hp and 504 pound-feet with a part-time all-wheel drive system. While the FF lacks a lot of the hauling ability of the Olds, it makes up for the deficit in handling, luxury, and in many eyes, simply by having the famous prancing horse on the grille.

Jay Leno bangs up his own Toronado in GT6

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

Ever since Gran Turismo 4, Jay Leno has had at least one of his cars included in the popular racing simulator (starting with the Tank Car), and more of his machines appears in Gran Turismo 6. They include this nose-heavy, front-wheel-drive V8-powered muscle car. Yes, that aptly describes a 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado - except Leno's is rear-wheel drive. And it has a Cadillac CTS-V race engine modified to pump out 1,070 horsepower.
For the latest Jay Leno's Garage episode, he takes his real Toronado out for a cruise and then drives the virtual one like he stole it, accruing some body damage along the way. Leno also drives the virtual supercar Mercedes-Benz designed for GT6, the AMG Vision Gran Turismo Concept that debuted at the LA Auto Show, along with the real one, which is a 1:1-scale model. The model is radio-controlled and equipped with a small electric motor, sufficient to move it on and off of auto show floors.
Head below to watch the episode, which includes a few words from GT6 creator Kazunori Yamauchi.
