You are bidding on a 1965 Plymouth Barracuda. It is a equipped with a 225 slant six with a hyper-pak setup and 727 automatic transmission.  It has a Clifford four barrel intake with a Holley 390 CFM carb.  It also has a Clifford split exhaust manifold that connects to a Flowmaster delta 40 series muffler that runs all the way to the tail. It also has a cutout on the drivers side to run open exhaust ( see pic ). The motor runs great with good power. It has a functional cowl induction system as well.  The motor has new spark plugs, Accel ignition coil, points, condenser, rotor, distripartor cap, air cleaner, battery, alternator, 2 1/2 inch exhaust front to back, new dual master brake cylinder, and all new brakes.  The interior is light blue and very nice.  The front buckets are good with one 3 inch tear in the passenger bottom seat.  The rear seat is perfect and folds down good.  The carpet is new and the headliner is great.  The dash is in tact with a crack in the middle of the dash pad.  All lights, guages, wipers, radio all work.  There are four guages on the dash Tach, Volts, Temp, and Oil pressure, they all work but only the Tach is hooked up. All windows roll up and down good and weather stripping is in tact but no window felts.  The body is very nice with light body filler in the rear quarters over the wheel wells and front fenders behind front tires.  It is satin black and shines a little in the sun. The chrome is very nice with little pitting on rear bumper and rear light bezels. The tires are new with fronts being 165/80/R15 on mag wheels and rears are 205/75/R14 on steelies. The rear sits up with new air shocks as well. This car is setup as a Jr. Stocker out of the 60's that would have run in the I/SA class. Racing the family sedan in Jr. Stock aka Jack Approved  became very popular in the mid to late 60's which was more affordable than Super Stock classes and now is really coming back.

I will offer free delivery within 100 miles of my zip code 45701 once the vehicle is paid in full. Happy Bidding!!!!

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars

Sat, 18 Jan 2014

The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above, and scroll down below for the official auction description.

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Wed, 19 Dec 2012

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.
