Do you want a car that screams 'Bad Ass' louder than a mosh pit full of Head-Bangers? Then I would like to introduce you to my car. Its a 1967 Plymouth Sport Fury Flame-job. Its not new. Its not perfect, but it wont leave you looking stupid, trying to blast your favorite Metal through the windows of a plastic car. Its 318, V8 is not the biggest engine of the vintage, but its as big or bigger than most of what's on the street today. Between the sound of the RV cam and Dual exhaust, and the Flames over Red paint job... This car turns more heads than a Stripper girlfriend.
No, its no GTO Judge, and its not a '71 Hemi Cuda, but when you pull up beside the cars you wont ever be able to afford at the Classic Car show, you WILL get noticed in this Baby. Try to pull that off in a WRX.
Happy Bidding.

  • Condition: Fundamentals are solid. No major mechanical defects. Wiring harness could use some love, as could the fuel lines. Nothing that would stop you from driving away in it. Body and Interior is complete and solid. Minor cosmetic defects can be corrected as desired. Vinyl top has wear and some rust underneath. Cracking present in the tail lights. Vinyl seats are cracked with normal wear. Pretty solid for an unrestored car. Would not have to put much love into this car to make her a daily driver.
  • Features: Electronic ignition. Holley Projection Electronic Fuel Injection. A-518 Overdrive transmission. Chrome Baby Moon rims. Dual Exhaust. RV Cam. Front disc brakes.
  • History: 3rd owner. Second owner added the paint. Original engine had to be replaced after a throttle linkage failure. New engine is a factory rebuild from a 1970 Cuda. Came bored .5 over with an upgraded RV cam.
  • Shipping and payment: Vehicle is available for local pickup or buyer arraigned shipping. $500 deposit due within 24 hours. Balance in cash, or Money order/Cashiers check within 7 days.

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

    Wed, 19 Dec 2012

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.

Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars

    Sat, 18 Jan 2014

The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above, and scroll down below for the official auction description.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

    Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.
