Hello, I'm selling my 1969 Roadrunner. I bought this years ago and just don't see getting the time to restore it. Real vitamin C orange car, factory 4 speed, tach in dash. No motor, trans, drive shaft, front seat all missing  other things I'm not thinking of right now  missing parts  etc. What you see is what I have for the car. I found a rear seat but they are wrong color. The interior was white. Both doors only open from the inside, I think the rods have come off in door. Drivers window is off track but there. Vin tag was removed from dash by past owner who kept it in a unsecured storage unit and was afraid it would grow legs. I have the vin tag which matches the rad support number. The car has rust as you can see , it will need floor work, trunk work, quarters, rust at rear window. The lower rad support is torn and can be fix, from being pulled around years ago. Back seat floor tunnel has a rip from a drive shaft letting go. Rear frame rails are not to bad but may need a patch or so. The rest look good. There is a small area by on lower inner fender along frame rail that is just getting a small hole...easy fix.

The roof is straight. The car has a 8 3/4 , looks original. I jacked it up , there no drive shaft, spun the one tire and the other rotated the other direction so I guess that's a open rear. Tires are shot and two go flat in a couple hours. Hood is rusted and trunk lid are rusted out. Doors are good and fenders may be saved depending on how far you go with the restoration.

Car needs a total restoration or make a  quarter mile race car. Reserve is $4500 which less that what I paid years ago.

This is a cool car being orange and a white interior.. Great project. Sold as-is . Clear title in my name. Pickup here in  Kenvil NJ 07847. Cash and carry.

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Wed, 19 Dec 2012

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.

Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars

Sat, 18 Jan 2014

The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above, and scroll down below for the official auction description.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.
