I have for sale a 1970 Plymouth roadrunner.   It is a factory B5 blue car with black buckets and black top. I have the fender tag no build sheet. The car came with and still has the 4spd with pistol grip tranny. Factory air grabber with all the factory air grabber parts still present. Car shows 79k and by looking at the shape of the seats I would say its accurate?  It has the factory tic toc tac and nice clean un cracked dash pad.It still has the original buddy seat in great shape. Car comes with a  completely rebuilt 1969 383 long block. I have $3000 in receipts  in the motor. New pistons , bearings, cam  gaskets freeze out plugs heads rebuilt with new valves ,etc  etc.  It comes with used headers that came with the car as well as motor mounts clutch intake ,carb all parts that where on the car before it was taken apart. The car has been off the road for 22 years so it needs to be completely gone through as far as mechanically   speaking. It still has the factory radiator  as well as the original air grabber hood and what I believe to be all the air grabber parts including the air cleaner  and pan.  The body is in need of metal work. The floors, truck pan, quarters , torsion bar member and  driver door  needs to be replaced. The fenders , roof , inner fenders firewall are in nice shape. Hood is nice too just a small spot underneath by the hood hinge". This is a beautiful car when its done . B5 blue black top and interior with air grabber and 4spd. All the moldings are here with the car and all seem to be in very nice shape.  I will answer any questions ,if you want to speak with me on the phone just send me a message and I ll give you my number all call you back. This is a 44 year old car that's been off the road for 22 years and needs to be completely restored. So please understand that before you buy it. Because you are buying the car as is where is. I will work with you on being here for the shipping.

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Wed, 19 Dec 2012

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.

'71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible sells for $3.5M [w/video]

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.
