This is a 1972 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus to which I have added many Road Runner parts. I am a pretty transparent seller I will give you the pros and cons. This car was purchased from the original owners. Purchased new in Denver. It was an original Lemon Twist car when I purchased it it was a mottled red. I replaced a full quarter on the drivers side and a lower quarter on the passenger side. It has a fair recent paint job (napa paint base coat clear coat). Which presents nicely. It is a factory bigblock 2 barrel 400 engine. This is original and has 110,000mi. on it. Which I recently converted to electronic ignition. The transmission is a used 727 automatic which functions properly  and a baby dana 91/4 rear end. The car starts, stops and steers. I have Replaced the Door Seals,Headliner, Carpet, Seat Covers (ppg front and rear). Console ( the previous was broken) and installed a new Console Top Plate Decal. The AM radio plays ( poorly), there is a 3/8" nick in the drivers upper door panel. The Dash has a plastic dash cap. The interior presents nicely although the drivers seat belt retractor is alittle sticky. It has Ralley Gauges and the desireable 150 Speedometer. The gas gauge does not work. Needing a new sender in the tank. The brakes have been gone through and work properly. The stripe, deck, quarter and hood decals are new. The trunk has a new trunk mat. The is a complete and working jack and tire holddown. The spare tire presently does not hold air. The car is virtually rust free, The exterior window trim and drip moldings have been polished. The motor box  has been detailed, there is a new hood mat. The tires (BF Goodrich) Radial T/As 235/60/14s are in good condition and have plenty of life. The magnum 500 rims are also in very nice condition. The rear bumper has been rechromed, recently. The rear valance does not fit exactly as it was made for the 1971. There are also new Bazooka tips and exhaust tip hangers. I just recently got this car on the road and I have found there are several thing it will need to improve it's driverability. The front end drifts abit and I would rebuild it. The 2barrel functions properly but has got to go an edelbrock manifold and carb are in order as well as a shift kit, shock absorbers and some exhaust work (get rid of the cherry bombs) and find the exhaust leak. It also overheated the other day(although it was 90 and it is a big block). So what I have is a 1972 Satellite sebring Plus ( RoadRunner)clone with a 400 Big Block 727 Slap Stick Transmission with New Paint, New Interior, Bucket Seats, Console, Ralley Gauges, Disc Brakes. Running driving and presentable. With a clear Title Ready for some summer fun. Could be a monster with a stroker kit and the right gears. If you need to transport I would trailer this car. As I previously stated I just recently started shaking it out. Sure it runs and drives and will be easy to load up.  I would like to keep it but have commitments that need to be met. Look at the pictures. This vehicle is also being offered locally so I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. Last of all PLEASE BE DECENT IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE MONEY DON"T BID> GO SPAM SOMEBODY ELSE. This auction is for real honest people who like cars.  All transportation fees and arrangements are solely at the buyers expense.

'71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible sells for $3.5M [w/video]

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.

Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars

Sat, 18 Jan 2014

The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above, and scroll down below for the official auction description.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.
