1980 Pontiac Bonneville Sedan - 20k Original Miles on 2040-cars
Fredericktown, Missouri, United States
This is a 1980 Pontiac Bonneville with 20K original miles on this vehicle.....YES only 20.5K original miles!!
This car was purchased brand new from the Pontiac dealer by my grandfather in 1980, and he only drove it occasionally for local area trips. He was very religious in having the car serviced by the dealership every 2K miles, but I do NOT have any of those service records to prove that. The car was stored in his garage, and was given to his grand daughter when he became disabled. We have changed all the fluids and put some new tires on this car, and it runs and drives GREAT...........Like NEW....No rattles, No wind noise, everything works great with a few minor exceptions noted below. We have drove it and put about 1000 miles on it since it was transferred to his grand daughter 2 years ago, so we know it runs and drives very well. The interior headliner and carpeting was replaced, along with a new stereo and rear speakers. Here is the list of known issues: 1: The AC Compressor was replaced last year and the AC worked great last summer. However, the new Compressor is now "squealing" and the AC is NOT working now. 2: All 4 of the Fiberglass-Plastic "Bumper/Fendor Panels" have broken off. Please see pictures around front & rear bumpers that have broken off due to aging. 3: There is some light chips on the paint, but overall in great condition, and the original vinyl top has NO tears or issues. 4: The original Jack is missing and is NOT included. I have Clean Title in hand, I am not responsible for any shipping, Car is for sale as is where it is with no warranty expressed or implied , you are welcomed to inspect the vehicle if you choose, or have any auto inspector come check it out. I have also put
the car up for sale locally, I reserve the right to end this listing at
any time, if you are sincerely interest in buying this car and have any questions please feel free to call me, ask
for Mark (214) 763-9966 Thanks for looking & Good Bidding. Please feel free to ask questions, etc. |

Watch this garbage truck consume a Pontiac Grand Am
Wed, 15 May 2013When an old car or truck offers its dying breath in your driveway and you just don't have the financial or mechanical wherewithal to resuscitate it yet again, you traditionally have to go to the trouble of calling a flatbed or a tow truck to come haul it away. That usually helps to put a few bucks in your wallet and helps recycle some of the vehicle's parts, but the transaction doesn't seem as final or perversely satisfying as the dispatch service that this New Way Cobra Magnum garbage truck offers.
Okay, okay, so this refuse hauler isn't actually designed for this sort of thing, but it's oddly comforting to know that a sanitation truck can compact a hapless Pontiac Grand Am into oblivion. Next time, we won't feel so guilty about slipping that rusty charcoal grille onto the curb next to the cans on garbage day. Watch the carnage by scrolling below.

1969 Pontiac GTO Judge vs. 2006 GTO, which Goat gets your vote?
Mon, 08 Sep 2014The Pontiac GTO was perhaps the most iconic muscle car of the '60s and early '70s. With its beefy V8 and color palette screaming for attention, it summarized in a single vehicle everything that made the era so appealing to many young people. Pontiac tried to collect just a few drops of that aura again in the 2000s with a revived GTO, but with decidedly mixed results. The performance was still there with its big V8, but the looks never quite lived up to the powertrain. Now, Generation Gap wants to know which of these Goats is the one to own.
Things are skewed immediately because the 2006 GTO here is a real ringer. It comes from famous tuner Ken Lingenfelter's collection, and it's a one-off example partially fettled by GM Performance boasting a twin-turbocharged LS2 V8 with a claimed 750 horsepower and a wide-body kit. This Goat definitely isn't what you're going to find just browsing for one to buy in the newspaper. Still, dip the throttle just a little, and this GTO pulls like a freight train. It's enough to turn the two hosts into giggling schoolboys behind the wheel.
The '69 GTO Judge here is also out of Lingenfelter's collection, but this one is all stock with a 400-cubic-inch (6.6-liter) V8 and a Ram Air hood for a claimed 366 hp. It might not have the unbelievable power of the turbo '06, but it makes up for it with style to spare.
