1986 Pontiac Fiero SE with only 53k miles! (52,872 at time of listing) This makes my 8th Fiero so I know what to look for in a good one and this is a great one! The interior is super clean and in great shape, not a single rip or tear in the upholstery even. The engine and transmission both operate as they should... no engine lights, does not over heat, does not consume oil between changes etc. Factory sunroof (still has the wind deflector under the hood), all power options minus power mirrors. The tires have a lot of tread left! This Fiero is equipped with A/C but the condenser has been removed prior to me owning it. I am including all of the original manuals and the window sticker! This will look great in a frame at car shows if you enjoy them as I do. This car took third place for best original in June at a big car show. This Fiero is registered in Ohio as a Historical Vehicle and is kept in my garage when I am not enjoying it. The title is clear and the car has never been involved in any accidents and shows no signs of repair. This would make a great first Fiero or add it to your list of ones you already own. I would not hesitate to drive this car from Ohio to California. The headlight motors do work but sometimes take a few seconds or more to open after hitting the switch. The starter squeals also but always starts. The suspension is all original as far as I can tell and the car has no modifications of any kind! 100% stock which I believe is a huge plus but this can be your toy to do with as you like. I do love how people will randomly talk to me about the Fiero, its sad GM ever discontinued these but the competition was getting to close to the corvette I think...

Lutz says Washington killed Pontiac, next G6 was to be ATS derivative
Tue, 29 Oct 2013How many people think Buick or GMC should have gotten the axe instead of Pontiac? You can't see it, but I'm raising my hand. Autoweek reports that former Vice Chairman of GM, Bob Lutz, has indicated that things didn't have to end up the way they did.
"The Feds said, 'Yeah, how much money have you made on Pontiac in the last 10 years?' and the answer was, 'Nothing.'"
In a talk given at the Petersen Automotive Museum for the Inside the MotoMan Studio series, Lutz says "The Feds said, 'Yeah, how much money have you made on Pontiac in the last 10 years?' and the answer was, 'Nothing.' So, it goes. And when the guy who is handing you the check for $53 billion says, 'I don't want Pontiac, drop Pontiac or you don't get the money,' it doesn't take you very long to make up your mind." Lutz even added that the next-generation Pontiac G6 would have benefitted from the rear-wheel-drive platform of the Cadillac ATS. How awesome would that have been?
Watch as Hot Rod goes from El Paso to LA the hard way
Tue, 21 Feb 2012There are few things simultaneously more romantic and idiotic than taking a road trip in a beaten-down heap of a car. Trust us. We know. David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan of Hot Rod Magazine fame recently undertook an epic trip from El Paso, Texas to Los Angeles with the express goal of doing so for under $1,500, including the purchase price of a vehicle, food, lodging, repairs and, most importantly, fuel. With this in mind, the duo settled on a 1972 Pontiac Catalina for a lofty $650. Hilarity ensues.
Realizing that no one actually wants a Catalina sulking around the shop, Freiburger and Finnegan put the car up for auction on eBay Motors the instant they had the title in hand. By the time they rolled into Hot Rod HQ, the vehicle sold for a little over $500.
The video is part of a new series called Roadkill that should document similar adventures. Keep your eyes peeled for more calamity-soaked clips in the near future. In the meantime, hit the jump to check it out yourself.
Aficionauto sits down with The Hoff and KITT
Fri, 10 Oct 2014The latest video from The Aficionauto is the perfect palate cleanser for Knight Rider fans after finding out that Justin Bieber is the voice of KITT in an upcoming film. Host Christopher Rutkowski says that the Knight Industries Two Thousand is one of the most requested vehicles to appear on the series and for good reason - Michael Knight's Pontiac Trans-Am is among the most famous cars to ever appear on television.
While the video isn't able to showcase one of the original KITTs from the series, it does get star David Hasselhoff to drive his personal replica and talk about the lasting legacy of the show. The highlight here might be seeing The Hoff back behind the wheel in the open desert basically recreating Knight Rider's opening sequence.
With all of its flashing lights and gizmos, you can probably make the argument that KITT is pretty cheesy, and the show itself was never exactly a pillar of high-quality drama on television. Despite that, the series still provides a ton of good-natured fun, and The Hoff's continued enthusiasm for it is pretty infectious. Check out The Aficionauto video to take another ride with Knight Rider.
