LOWERED PRICE!

Up for sale is my 94 Trans Am. Had this for about 10 years now and am ready to get rid of for some extra money. Car is almost considered a classic! Overall, in very good condition.

Car has 157k miles on the body. I swapped out an engine from a 95 Camaro at about 110k miles. All NEW parts were used at the swap so it was basically a brand new engine.  When looking at the car, you wouldn't think it has this many miles on it. It looks the same, if not better than when I purchased. No accidents!

Yes, there are some scratches, curb rashes, minor dings, but that's expected with a 20 year old car. Standing 10 feet away, this car looks like new though and always gets a turn from drivers passing by.

Mechanically, car starts up and runs fine. I have used it as my daily driver for 10 years. The transmission has JUST been rebuilt. Less than 1K on that. Optispark is already replaced so you don't have to worry about that dying. Other than that, pretty stock. Haven't added anything to engine compartment.

Added:
Ram Air hood ($1000 value in itself)
Pypes Catback Exhaust System
Polished Aluminum Wheels
Blaupunkt Audio system/Amplifier/10 CD changer
Rubber "Trans Am" Floor Mats
The original back seat had a tear on top so I replaced it with a like new one from a 98-02

What doesn't work:
Steering wheel radio controls
driver side power seat
Coolant sensor needs replaced (I can get)

Heat is hit or miss

All power stuff works. Windows, door locks, mirrors, controls...all work!

Other than that, pretty much stock.

Contact me through ebay for more pics, questions and offers. I reserve the right to take down auction if car is sold from another medium.

1939 Pontiac Ghost Car commands $308,000 at auction

Mon, 01 Aug 2011

For the 1939 World's Fair, Pontiac built a Deluxe Six bodied in Plexiglass. Part of the Previews of Progress pavilion in which General Motors' Futurama showed off what was to come in the world of autos, the 'invisible' Pontiac is credited as the first transparent car in America. And there were no shortcuts taken with its body: the Plexiglass form was fabricated by the company that brought the material to market in 1933, Rohm & Haas.
The see-through sedan was sold at RM Auctions' St. John's auction in Michigan on July 30, fetching $308,000. Not bad appreciation for a domestic oddity that cost $25,000 to build when new. You can check out the high-res gallery of its innards, including copper and chrome metalwork and white moldings and wheels, and get the exhaustive details on it after the jump.

Sci-fi movie Jinn features car designer, Firebird-bodied Camaro

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

If you're an automotive engineer being tormented by an immortal being made of fire, then wouldn't you think it best to have a custom coupe called the FireBreather for your getaway car? That's the FireBreather in the image above, adorned by the red wings that once fronted the Pontiac Firebird, running away from a black cloud of evil in a trailer for the movie Jinn.
The Jinn is eternal evil, always waiting for the chance to make things float across rooms before going on homicidal urban rampages. The FireBreather is a Gen-V Chevrolet Camaro - from the V6 to the ZL1 - that's been through Classic Design Concepts' extensive list of exterior and interior modifications, including entirely new front and rear fascias and side skirts, sway bars and springs, Pirelli P Zeroes and an available Edelbrock supercharger.
The movie - FireBreathing chase scenes and all - was shot in Monroe, Michigan. You can watch the trailer below, but since the FireBreather only get a couple of seconds on screen, you can find out more about it on Street Legal TV and its official site.

Trans Am Depot teases 2014 GTO

Mon, 24 Jun 2013

Here comes the Judge. Court is in session. The verdict is in. How many more tired clichés can we come up with? It hardly seems to matter, because it's happening: Trans Am Depot has announced via the teaser video below that it is launching a 2014 GTO, complete with Carousel Red (bright orange, really) paint and full Judge badging.
The car is based on Trans Am Depot's 6T9 Goat, which, in case you don't get the reverential references, is meant to mimic the look of the 1969 Pontiac GTO. As with the company's other cars -including the 2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am we recently drove - the GTO will be based on the current Chevy Camaro, which means two doors, V8 engines and rear-wheel drive, just like the muscle cars of days past.
As for actual details of what's under the 2014 GTO's hood, we're completely left hanging. We'd expect some sort of power adder (turbo, supercharger or possibly some other form of a highly massaged version of the Camaro's V8), and we certainly know that GM has any number of hi-po crate engines to choose from.
