The guy we bought it from didn't know a lot a bout the car but by going through the receipts over $38,000.00 was spent on the drive train of this car. We do know it is a 28lsx Motor Brand New, it has a Custom Lunati Cam ARP Head Bolts, Aluminum Heads 102 CFM injectors, MSD Coil Packs, four link Suspension with a ford 9' rear end, 3' exhaust over $1800.00 in receipts for exhaust alone. We found over $18,000.00 in engine Receipts and $4800.00 in Transmission receipts (turbo 400 reverse valve body) The car runs and drive frikkin amazing I am not sure of the horse power but my guess it is close to 850 HP. A flip of the switch this car fires right up and idles GREAT 0 issues. It does have NOS which has never been hooked up but is plumed for it just hook it up and hold on! Wanted: 1967 Pontiac GTO for a special Father's Day

Back in the '60s, Jim's dad, Ken, drove a cherry red 1967 GTO to California for a job. He met a girl, got married and decided his wife's 1965 Ford Mustang was more fuel efficient than the Goat and the GTO was sold. As the story almost always goes, Ken has had seller's regret ever since.
Jim always meant to find a 1967 GTO and, with his dad's help, restore it. But life got in the way, time slipped by and Ken was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer and given about three months to live.
2008-2009 Pontiac G8 recalled over airbag concern
Mon, 07 Nov 2011General Motors is recalling around 38,000 Pontiac G8 sedans from its 2008 and 2009 model years. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that the cars may have a passenger-side airbag flaw that might prevent proper deployment in certain scenarios.
According to NHTSA, the airbag might not adequately protect a fifth percentile woman - that is, a woman around four-foot, 11-inches weighing 108 pounds. The New York Times indicates that the anomaly was found during a crash test conducted by GM's Australian branch, Holden, which was testing the G8's twin (read: Commodore) for head injuries. According to that report, the test in question is specifically tailored to simulate injuries to females, so the results do not apply to men or children.
The issue has been blamed on a seat position sensor that governs airbag deployment rates. NHTSA indicates that when the front passenger seat is moved all the way forward, the faulty sensor may inappropriately trigger a 30-millisecond delay between airbag stages, potentially leading to greater injuries.
Airbag recall adds 85k Pontiac Vibes to tally
Fri, 13 Jun 2014The repairs needed for the faulty airbag inflators supplied by Takata continue to expand. Toyota initially announced a recall of 766,300 vehicles equipped with the bad part on June 11 as a followup to a campaign from 2013. Soon after, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration opened a preliminary evaluation into five automakers who also used the component in their models. Now, NHTSA has released the official announcement of the latest Toyota recall listing 844,277 affected cars, including the newly added 2003-2004 Pontiac Vibe.
While NHTSA's document didn't include a model-by-model breakdown, General Motors spokesperson Alan Adler estimated to Autoblog that roughly 85,000 Vibes in the US would be covered under the latest recall. Like the rest of the affected models, the airbag inflator could rupture in a crash causing the bag not to work correctly, possibly spraying metal fragments at the occupant.
Toyota spokesperson Cindy Knight told Autoblog that the reason for the disparity between the earlier press release and NHTSA document was that Toyota was continuing to comb through VINs to create a list of affected vehicles.
