I purchased this 1985 Pontiac Trans Am 5.0 Tune Port  Fuel Injection engine in 1987 for my son. This was the first year for the optional 5.0 TPI engine. The car has been well taken care of  and only has 143,000 original miles. This car is a unmolested muscle car that really runs great. This car has been stored and not driven since 2001 so I recently had the following work performed on this car. Master tune up with new wires, plugs, distributor cap and rotor. New anti sway bar bushings. New rear brakes. New tires. New A/C compressor and hose and air blows cold. New belts. New stock modified radio that accepts I-Pod. Fresh service. The only thing that does not work on the car is the cruise control. This car is road ready and gets great fuel mileage for a car it's age and it is fast. Take a look at the pictures and picture yourself sitting behind the wheel. In 1985 this car was voted the most aerodynamic   American made car on the road and that included the Corvette according to Pontiac advertising. This car is sold as is. You can fly in and drive this beauty home or I have a friend who does all my ebay transporting and is real reasonable and very reliable. If you need a quote I will give you his phone number. If you have ZERO feedback DO NOT bid on my car without contacting me first or your bid will be cancelled and you will be blocked from bidding. Scam artist have created this problem on ebay. The date listed on the pictures is incorrect. I could not get the camera to delete it.

Trans Am Depot teases 2014 GTO

Mon, 24 Jun 2013

Here comes the Judge. Court is in session. The verdict is in. How many more tired clichés can we come up with? It hardly seems to matter, because it's happening: Trans Am Depot has announced via the teaser video below that it is launching a 2014 GTO, complete with Carousel Red (bright orange, really) paint and full Judge badging.
The car is based on Trans Am Depot's 6T9 Goat, which, in case you don't get the reverential references, is meant to mimic the look of the 1969 Pontiac GTO. As with the company's other cars -including the 2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am we recently drove - the GTO will be based on the current Chevy Camaro, which means two doors, V8 engines and rear-wheel drive, just like the muscle cars of days past.
As for actual details of what's under the 2014 GTO's hood, we're completely left hanging. We'd expect some sort of power adder (turbo, supercharger or possibly some other form of a highly massaged version of the Camaro's V8), and we certainly know that GM has any number of hi-po crate engines to choose from.

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.

How to turn a Pontiac Fiero into a trackday car

Fri, 17 Oct 2014

Imagine hitting the track in a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive sports coupe that's affordable and has pretty good parts availability. It might sound like a pipe dream, but it's actually quite possible, if you're willing to think a little outside the box. The Pontiac Fiero is out there just waiting for a little work to turn it into a competent racing machine.
Think about it for a second. Of course, we would all like to be snaking through the curves in something exotic, but what happens when you crash or something breaks? The bills are going to mount up quickly. However, if you ball up a Fiero at the track, as long as you're not hurt, then it's not a huge tragedy.
That's basically the story of Steven Snyder in a new video from Drive starring Matt Farah. Snyder wanted to go to the track cheaply and ended up with an awesome little Fiero with a huge wing and a claimed 220 horsepower at the wheels thanks to a V6 from a Chevrolet Lumina. Check out the video to see how this pint-size Pontiac performs.
