Hi, this a 65 GTO that could possibly be a clone altho I don't think so, some say it is and some say it isn't !! anyway I recently purchased, and
have decided to sell,...RUNS AND DRIVES!! it is kind of rough but I think it is a real
Red on Black Gto ( but I have no documentation from PHS ) and we all know how hard they are to find, actually the body
isn't in that bad shape, it has had floors put in a long time ago but they still
look very solid and would not need replaced for a nice driver, it has also had
half quarters put on at some time and are ok I guess, but the rest of the car
looks pretty good the doors look good with not a lot of rust but they do have a
little bondo in them from dents, .....the door jams and rockers look good
.....the front fenders and hood look good also and would be easy to work with,
now the trunk floor is pretty bad and will need replaced, some one has fixed it
with plane flat metal and it looks pretty bad, under the back seat has some rust
on each side but not terrible, the frame has a small patch on the rear pass side
gust above the axel but I think it would be an easy fix, it will also need some
bumpers, that's about all the bad that I can see, now for the interior, it still
has the original bucket seats and rear seats, it also has the original possi
track rear end in it, as for the motor it has a 67 400 Pontiac motor and a 400
auto trans, it runs pretty good and the trans shifts fine, it also has a newer
duel exhaust, this is a very lo option car with no power steering or brakes, all
the glass looks good with just a few scratches, it will need new door and trunk
locks, the ignition is out at the moment but I am getting a new key made Monday
for it, as of now it starts off a toggle switch ,...that's about all I can think
of to tell about it, but if you have any questions just give me a call at 740
456 6095 ask for Darrell... or just contact me thru eBay, so if you have been
looking for a 65 GTO ( possible clone ) to restore at a reasonable price then this just mite
be the one you have been waiting for, so look at the pics and ask questions
before you bid if your not sure, sold as is where is!! thanks and good
luck......also if this isn't what you are looking for you mite want to check out my other auction for my ..36 Plymouth 5 window coupe, thanks....

David Hasselhoff's own KITT replica up for auction
Tue, 08 Apr 2014Depending on when and where you grew up, the name David Hasselhoff likely conjures up images of Knight Rider, Baywatch, pop singer, or possibly a washed-up TV actor, but one thing that can never be taken away from The Hoff is his connection to one of the greatest automotive icons in pop culture. The Knight Industries Two Thousand, usually shortened to simply KITT, was the real star of Knight Rider for many fans. Based on a Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, the car combined snarky quips for comedy relief and stunts to provide much of the show's actions. Now, Julien's Auctions is selling Hasselhoff's own replica as part of a larger sale of the actor's personal memorabilia collection.
This recreation is based on a 1986 Firebird and comes with all of the tech on the inside that now seems hilariously outdated, like the yoke steering wheel and plethora of buttons. The interior also thoughtfully includes a voice box with over 4,000 sound clips from the show. With a 5.0-liter V8 and an automatic transmission, performance is likely adequate and period correct. According to the listing, this car was created by fans and given to the Hoff. Sadly, the replica doesn't convert to Super Pursuit Mode like KITT could in later seasons, and we most associate KITT with conventional front-hinged doors to go with the power t-tops and ejector seats.
Bidding currently sits $27,500 with eight bids, since starting at $15,000. Julien's predicts it will sell for between $30,000 and $50,000. If there is some nostalgia for KITT in your heart, there is still plenty of time to bid.
GM repairing 40,500 Pontiac Vibes as part of Toyota airbag recall
Wed, 09 Apr 2014General Motors has confirmed to Autoblog that the Pontiac Vibe is included in Toyota's just-announced recall action. The Vibe and the Toyota Matrix share a large number of parts, including the affected cable to the airbag.
"About 40,500 Pontiac Vibes from the 2009-2010 model years are included in the Toyota recall. Toyota designed and engineered the Vibe for Pontiac. GM will service customers with these vehicles when Toyota makes the parts available," said GM recall spokesperson Alan Adler to Autoblog in an email.
The recall covers 1.3 million Toyota units in the US, including 2009-2010 Corolla, Matrix and Tacoma, the 2008-2010 Highlander, the 2006-2008 Rav4 and 2006-2010 Yaris, plus the addition of the 2009-2010 Vibe. The models all have their airbag module attached via a spiral electrical cable. The connections on this cable can be damaged when turning the steering wheel. Once broken, the airbag deactivates and the airbag warning light comes on. Toyota has an improved part, but it's still making preparations to begin repairs. It will begin notifying owners soon.
Watch as Hot Rod goes from El Paso to LA the hard way
Tue, 21 Feb 2012There are few things simultaneously more romantic and idiotic than taking a road trip in a beaten-down heap of a car. Trust us. We know. David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan of Hot Rod Magazine fame recently undertook an epic trip from El Paso, Texas to Los Angeles with the express goal of doing so for under $1,500, including the purchase price of a vehicle, food, lodging, repairs and, most importantly, fuel. With this in mind, the duo settled on a 1972 Pontiac Catalina for a lofty $650. Hilarity ensues.
Realizing that no one actually wants a Catalina sulking around the shop, Freiburger and Finnegan put the car up for auction on eBay Motors the instant they had the title in hand. By the time they rolled into Hot Rod HQ, the vehicle sold for a little over $500.
The video is part of a new series called Roadkill that should document similar adventures. Keep your eyes peeled for more calamity-soaked clips in the near future. In the meantime, hit the jump to check it out yourself.
