Morrisville, Pennsylvania, United States

1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible. Same owner since 1977. Numbers matching. PHS Documented. Located in southeastern PA in Philadelphia suburb. Garaged since 1979. PA State Inspected every year. Ongoing service performed by either Pontiac Dealer or Buick Dealer. Has rust behind rear wheels and in trunk. The car has the original 4 speed transmission with Hurst shifter. Transmission shifts perfect. Clutch is in very good shape. I bought the car in 1977 with about 75000 miles on it. It was my daily driver. I purchased a house in 1979 and the job I had provided me with a company car so the car has been garaged and not used that much since. It had been repainted when I purchased it. It also had body work done prior to my purchasing it. I have not had any body work done and it needs to be repainted. I have several thousand dollars worth of NOS Parts and parts I purchased from AMES Performance Engineering. The car originally came with an AM radio and 8 track tape deck. The tape deck was not with the car when I purchased it. It did not have Power Steering which I added. I also added the Pontiac Rally ll Wheels. I have 2 extra ones so I could have snow tires mounted. The interior is in very good shape. The top was replaced in the 1980's. The back window is clear as I have not put the top down very much since. The top is in good shape and goes up and down electrically as it is supposed to. The tires are BF Goodrich Radial TA's. They are in very good shape. The spare is a bias ply tire, F70-14. The jack and all related equipment are in the trunk under the spare as it is supposed to be. Shop Manual, owners manual, all books I have accumulated will be included.

GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable

Fri, 21 Sep 2012

General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.

STUDY: Ford owns brand loyalty in 2009; Scorned Saturn, Pontiac buyers will look outside of GM

Fri, 16 Oct 2009

Ford buyers appear to love their cars more than customers of any other automotive brand, returning back to the American automaker when it comes time to purchase their next vehicle. According to a study by Experian Automotive, six of the top 10 vehicles for customer brand loyalty wear badges from the Blue Oval. That includes the Ford Fusion (62.4 percent), Ford Edge (57.9 percent), Ford Five Hundred/Taurus (56 percent), Ford Freestyle (51.9 percent), Ford Escape (49.4 percent) and the Ford Focus (47.57 percent).
Other vehicles making up the top 10 include the Toyota Prius (52 percent), Chevy Impala (51.7 percent), Toyota Camry (47.8 percent) and Toyota Corolla (47.56 percent). This brings up an interesting question: With the closing of automotive brands like Saturn and Pontiac, where are those buyers to turn for their next automotive purchase?
Apparently, not back to General Motors. According to Experian, Pontiac owners are most likely to look to the Ford lineup for their next car or truck and Saturn shoppers will switch to Toyota or Honda - not particularly surprising given that Saturn was meant to compete with import brands. Experian predicts that GM's overall market share will fall from 20 percent to about 17.5 percent, with most of the slack being picked up by Ford, Honda and Toyota.

Howard Stern latest in Seinfeld's passenger seat for CiCGC

Thu, 06 Feb 2014

We'll be honest: the actual cars in Jerry Seinfeld's hit internet series, Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee, typically take a back seat to the celebrities in the front row. Seinfeld usually throws in a few lines about his classic wheels in the first minute or so, and then moves on to the important business of sprightly conversation and pithy one-liners. It's great.
This time around, with legendary motormouth Howard Stern riding shotgun, the 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge that might have been a co-star, gets forgotten about almost completely. Instead, Stern spends a tremendous amount of screen time extolling the virtues of his therapy sessions, attempts to dive into Seinfeld's prowess as a lover and generally makes a nuisance of himself. Pretty much to plan, then.
Scroll below to hear Howard accuse Jerry of acting like Jesus, just before declaring himself the greatest radio personality in the history of the business.
