UP FOR AUCTION IS A SUPER RARE (U WONT FIND ANOTHER WITH THESE OPTIONS) 1968 GTO H.O. CAR. THIS CAR CAME WITH A/C AND THE 360HP MOTOR. THIS CAR WAS ORDERED DIRECTLY FROM THE FACTORY FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER WHOS NAME IS STILL ON THE TITLE. THE CAR WAS ORDERED WITH THE ENDURA DELETE OPTION (CHROME FRONT BUMPER). THEY MADE APPROX 3600 H.O. HARDTOP COUPES IN 68. THEY MADE APPROX 1800 TOTAL GTOS WITH THE ENDURA DELETE OPTION. THIS CAR WAS ALSO ORDERED WITH A CONVERTIBLE (FULLY BOXED) FRAME AND HEAVY DUTY SUSPENSION. IT WAS ALSO ORDERED WITH A TRAILER HITCH WHICH IS LONG GONE. THE ORIGINAL COLOR IS STARLIGHT BLACK WITH BLACK INTERIOR. POWER DRIVERS SEAT, AUTO ON THE COLUMN, BUCKET SEATS, 323 POSI, A/C, ETC. I HAVE PHS DOCS TO PROVE THESE OPTIONS CORRECT AND ALSO HAVE THE ORIGINAL HANDWRITTEN LETTER FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER TO PONTIAC TO ORDER WITH THESE SPECIAL OPTIONS. Automakers tussle over owners of 'orphan' makes

When General Motors put down several of its brands in recent years, it also let loose thousands of brand-loyal customers who will eventually need another car.
R.L. Polk Associates estimates there are more than 18 million cars from 16 discontinued makes on the road today. Those "orphan owners" have sales-hungry competitors seeing dollar signs. GM is offering Saturn owners $1,000 cash toward a Chevy Cruze, Cadillac CTS or a GMC Acadia. Ford is giving its Mercury lease customers a chance to get out of their contracts with no early-termination penalty and offering to waive six remaining payments if they drive off in a Ford or Lincoln.
Edmunds.com research shows the efforts are paying off somewhat for GM, with 39 percent of Pontiac owners, 37 percent of Hummer owners and 31 percent of Saturn owners taking delivery of another GM-branded vehicle. But that leaves as much as 69 percent of owners going elsewhere. Ford, Honda and Toyota seem to be attracting many former GM owners.

Ford buyers appear to love their cars more than customers of any other automotive brand, returning back to the American automaker when it comes time to purchase their next vehicle. According to a study by Experian Automotive, six of the top 10 vehicles for customer brand loyalty wear badges from the Blue Oval. That includes the Ford Fusion (62.4 percent), Ford Edge (57.9 percent), Ford Five Hundred/Taurus (56 percent), Ford Freestyle (51.9 percent), Ford Escape (49.4 percent) and the Ford Focus (47.57 percent).
Other vehicles making up the top 10 include the Toyota Prius (52 percent), Chevy Impala (51.7 percent), Toyota Camry (47.8 percent) and Toyota Corolla (47.56 percent). This brings up an interesting question: With the closing of automotive brands like Saturn and Pontiac, where are those buyers to turn for their next automotive purchase?
Apparently, not back to General Motors. According to Experian, Pontiac owners are most likely to look to the Ford lineup for their next car or truck and Saturn shoppers will switch to Toyota or Honda - not particularly surprising given that Saturn was meant to compete with import brands. Experian predicts that GM's overall market share will fall from 20 percent to about 17.5 percent, with most of the slack being picked up by Ford, Honda and Toyota.

The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.
