1996 Pontiac Grand Am Gt Original Owner Always Serviced Runs Excellent But on 2040-cars
Bethpage, New York, United States
We are the original owners of this car. It was purchased brand new in 1996 from Sun Pontiac in Wantagh Long Island. My wife drove this car for 15 years. Prior to the front end accident this car was never crashed or painted. The oil was always changed every 2,000-3,000 miles and was always serviced. It never had to go back to the dealer for anything. We drove it from the lot and it never had to go back. It was a great running car and still runs great. The motor and transmission are still strong. This car is also pretty quick with the powerful 3100 V6 engine. Our son took over the car 2 years ago to get back and forth to school and work. He unfortunately had an accident with the front. Being his schedule is hectic we had no time to get the vehicle fixed as he needed a car right away so we decided to get him another car. This car needs a new bumper cover, two headlamps, hood and some other small parts. The fenders are undamaged. The radiator support is pushed back but I see no damage to any of the cooling items and no fluid is leaking. The car still runs and drives. It would make a nice father and son project or a great station car for a person on a budget. In any event it has to go. Thanks for looking.
This car is being re-listed due to a buyer from Tennessee who claims he bought the wrong car. Yeah sure!! If you have 0 feedback as this person did you must contact me first. These listings are not free and E-Bay is not a game for amusement. |

GM expands ignition switch recall to over 1.3 million cars amid climbing death toll
Tue, 25 Feb 2014
588,000 Saturn Sky, Saturn Ion, Pontiac Solstice and Chevy HHR models join the 778,000 cars already being recalled.
General Motors has announced a massive expansion of a 778,000-unit recall we told you about two weeks ago, doubling not only the total number of cars affected but expanding the recall beyond Chevrolet Cobalt and Pontiac G5 models previously mentioned. The recall originally centered around ignition switches that could slip out of the "run" position if jostled or if any weight was applied to the key in the cylinder.
eBay Find of the Day: 1967 Pontiac GTO Monkeemobile
Sun, 29 Apr 2012Say what you will about The Monkees, but the guys in the band had great taste in automobiles. Take the Monkeemobile, for example. Built off a 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible, the custom featured genuinely interesting bodywork and some wild engine bolt-ons. If you're a fan of 1960s pop and yearn to relive the genre's glory days, eBay Motors may have what you need. A recreation of the 1967 Monkeemobile has showed up for auction. This particular replica was built by Dakota County Customs using an four-speed GTO, just like the original.
Built for the band's 45th anniversary and the final Monkees tour last year, this Monkeemobile is faithful down to every last detail. Unfortunately, the trumpet exhaust poking out of the front fender wells and the massive gold-flake blower are for show only. Seems fitting.
If you like what you see, this machine is up for bid in Richfield, Minnesota with two days left on the auctions. So far, bidding as whipped up to $60,000 with the reserve not met. Head over to eBay Motors to have a look.
Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit
Mon, 20 Jun 2011Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.
