3 DAY AUCTION ONLY!!!!!!! Up for bids is a 2005 Pontiac Grand Am, 4-S. This car has the 3400 engine with an automatic transmission. The engine runs great and the trans shifts as it should. The cars options include AC, cruise, CD player, power windows and locks, and tilt wheel and they all work as intended. The tires arent new but pretty close, good condition. The body on this car is nice with only normal wear, scratches, dings etc as any car this model would have. The paint is nice and shiny and theres no rust at all. The interior is nice, no rips, tears or major stains. The pics make it look dirty but its just the lighting. Overall this is a nice clean, sharp car. It runs out good with no problems that im aware of at all. It has recently went through a state inspection so its road ready. Checkout my feedback guys as its almost 600 and all positive. Trans Am Depot teases 2014 GTO
Mon, 24 Jun 2013Here comes the Judge. Court is in session. The verdict is in. How many more tired clichés can we come up with? It hardly seems to matter, because it's happening: Trans Am Depot has announced via the teaser video below that it is launching a 2014 GTO, complete with Carousel Red (bright orange, really) paint and full Judge badging.
The car is based on Trans Am Depot's 6T9 Goat, which, in case you don't get the reverential references, is meant to mimic the look of the 1969 Pontiac GTO. As with the company's other cars -including the 2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am we recently drove - the GTO will be based on the current Chevy Camaro, which means two doors, V8 engines and rear-wheel drive, just like the muscle cars of days past.
As for actual details of what's under the 2014 GTO's hood, we're completely left hanging. We'd expect some sort of power adder (turbo, supercharger or possibly some other form of a highly massaged version of the Camaro's V8), and we certainly know that GM has any number of hi-po crate engines to choose from.
GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable
Fri, 21 Sep 2012General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.
Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
