2002 Maroon Pontiac Grand Prix GT 4dr Sedan  For sale with a 3.8L V6 automatic

Pros:
Clothe interior, power windows (front drivers and front passengers work) all power locks work on doors sunroof/ moonroof, heating and air work, Pinoeer after market stereo cd player. I did pay extra to have it connected to the steering wheel controls that all works.  It has a remote starter that I had installed that works great with the remote. It has good rims, good brakes, Good solid engine. I have had it serviced faithfully.  Had new water pump last year in August.  I had all new gaskets installed in April of last year, Head Gasket, Plennium gasket. No leaks. I had a new battery put in January. New tires recently with about 10,000 miles on them.  I drive highway miles. 32miles one way a day to work, I have family which lives about 200miles away one way, and we take vacation once a year ranging about 1500miles or more.   I have had this car since 13,000 miles and it currently has 276,500

Cons:
The dash light bulb is out,  Gas gauge does not work, back windows do not work,.  Cracked windshield. Small dent area on passenger back door. Some paint chips on hood. The low coolant light comes on and off sometimes but it is never low on fluid when checked.

Serious inquiries only I will negotiate on the price to a solid best offer. Car is sold AS IS. The title is free and clear and in my possession.   It is a good heavy sound car. On average I get 23.9 miles to the gallon and on longer highway trips I have gotten as good as 28.3mpg. It is driven daily and does not set for more than a day or two with out being driven. Thank you for looking.  Please email me, with any questions. I will be glad to take additional pictures just email me what you want to see.

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.

CNN chronicles young girl building Pontiac Fiero

Fri, 26 Oct 2012

At fourteen years of age, Kathryn DiMaria has already done what many self-proclaimed gearheads won't even attempt in their lifetimes. The Dearborn, Michigan teen is rebuilding a car from the ground up.
The intrepid youngster asked her parents when she was just twelve to start a Pontiac Fiero project, even offering to pony up all the funds herself. Father, Jerry DiMaria only expected the project to last a few months, but two years later, Kathryn is still at it. In this CNN video, the two are at Maker Faire (a DIY festival) rebuilding a 3.4-liter V6 engine out of a Chevrolet Camaro to replace the 2.8-liter mill found in the Fiero.
The whole family hast pitched in, with Kathryn's mother teaching her how to sew in order to complete the interior, father Jerry providing much of the technical know-how, and even her sister is chronicling Kathryn's progress through photos. Jerry even started a thread in a Fiero forum which has been live for two years and is now 22 pages long. Of the project, one forum member wrote, "welcome to the madness."

1939 Pontiac Ghost Car commands $308,000 at auction

Mon, 01 Aug 2011

For the 1939 World's Fair, Pontiac built a Deluxe Six bodied in Plexiglass. Part of the Previews of Progress pavilion in which General Motors' Futurama showed off what was to come in the world of autos, the 'invisible' Pontiac is credited as the first transparent car in America. And there were no shortcuts taken with its body: the Plexiglass form was fabricated by the company that brought the material to market in 1933, Rohm & Haas.
The see-through sedan was sold at RM Auctions' St. John's auction in Michigan on July 30, fetching $308,000. Not bad appreciation for a domestic oddity that cost $25,000 to build when new. You can check out the high-res gallery of its innards, including copper and chrome metalwork and white moldings and wheels, and get the exhaustive details on it after the jump.
