2004 Pontiac Grand Prix Gtp White, Comp Group, Supercharged on 2040-cars

Selling my everyday work car that I drive an average of 120 miles per day and that's the reason for the high mileage.  Replacing this Grand Prix with another Grand Prix because this car has been great. Car still runs great and everything works.  AC blows ice cold.   I've owned this car for 5 years and since 83,000 miles.  It has been taken care of and regular maintenance completed on it.  As I mentioned, it's my everyday work car, so it needs to be dependable.  It does have over 200K miles and I think it will easily go another 100K as long as you maintain it like I have.  As with any car with higher mileage, things do need to be replaced, so keep in mind it is used.  Tires are in good shape, new brakes all the way around, and a fresh oil change has been completed.  Things I replaced over the years include, tires, brakes, belts, hoses, battery, alternator, water pump, ABS control module and other things.  I have the FULL records of everything completed on this car.  Even the supercharger oil has been changed out.

Paint is in good condition with no major dents or rust spots.  There is a spot where the paint has peeled under the gas tank filler.  Not rusted through, just the paint peeled off.  Don't know why, maybe from spilled gas.  It has never been wrecked by me, however I can't speak for the previous owner.  I would suggest a car fax if that concerns you.  There is no evidence of previous damage.  Windows have been tinted and the interior is in good shape.  A small hole in the drivers bolster about the size of a pencil eraser.  Everything on the car works.  Has the premium Monsoon stereo with CD.  XM radio also.  Car also has the Comp Group option which includes higher performance suspension system.   It has the HUD heads up on the windshield.  (Love that)   Also has the paddle shift on the steering wheel.  This car is supercharged and is fast.  I wouldn't recommend this for a new driver's first car.

I have the title in hand.  Car is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to sell other than eBay.   Scammers, I will not ship, return overpayments, sell to foreign investors, etc. etc.  So move along.  It's a good car, just has higher mileage.  Still looks sharp.

Car must be paid for before picking up.  Ask questions before you bid.

GM recalls 61k more vehicles in three campaigns

Sun, 05 Oct 2014

Following a stop-delivery order for its new midsize trucks and a rash of recent recalls, General Motors is issuing three more campaigns covering 60,575 vehicles in North America with 57,182 of them in the US. As of October 1, the automaker has issued a total of 74 recalls (see the ridiculously long chart to the right) this year covering 26,495,070 units in the US.
The largest campaign covers 46,873 examples in the US of the 2008-2009 Pontiac G8 and 2011-2013 Chevrolet Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle imported from Australia. It's possible for the driver's knee to hit the key and make it move from the "Run" to "ACC" position while driving. GM says its Holden division is developing a fixed-blade key that's supposed to fix the problem by only allowing it to rotate toward the "On" position. There has been one crash caused by this fault but no injuries or fatalities.
The second recall is for 10,005 units of the 2004-2007 Cadillac CTS-V and 2006-2007 Cadillac STS-V because "the fuel pump module electrical terminal may overheat." This can cause a flange to melt and allow the pump to leak fuel. GM specifies that the remedy for the CTS-V is replacing the fuel module and fuel tank jumper harness, but it doesn't specify how the STS-V is being repaired.

This Auto Aerobics car art ties our brains in knots like pretzels

Sat, 14 Dec 2013

We like cars, and we like art. Naturally, Chris Labrooy's Auto Aerobics series - computer-generated images of some seriously contorted 1968 Pontiac Bonnevilles floating in mid-air - instantly clicked with us. If the Pontiacs weren't floating or hollow, we could be fooled into believing the image is real. But where's the fun in that?
Check out the gallery we included of Labrooy's Bonneville art, and feel free too head over to his website for some Formula One humor.

Check out the official 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition commercial

Sat, 16 Mar 2013

The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.
