Selling my baby, I am the original owner 2008 Pontiac Solstice with 27,395 mile, and shall we say senior driven, I am 65 year old and this car had always be handled with kid gloves, is like new, only body flaw is a tiny dent on passenger side rear fender if I didn't tell you, you wouldn't see it. It is a non smoker car and has always been garage kept.

I had custom paint stripes done to it and a hard to find custom spoiler added. It has all the normal stuff, XM radio,on board phone, onstar, all the normal power equipment, note the power seat is up and down forward and back is manuel lever. It is a nice ride and I would not be selling, but I had a leg operation and getting in and out is too hard for me. I would consider taking a older VW TDI AS A PARTICAL TRADE with reasionable milage. Gas milage on the car is 20-22 in town on the hiway I get up to 24-26. This is a Florida car bought in Fort Myers so it has never seen salt and snow. Note the key remotes are not working correctly so they need to be fixed or replaces. I want five hundred dollar non refunale depost 24 hour after the action closes and bank transfer or a cashier check the must be clear before you ship or take the car. This is the second time I am selling the car as the first buyer could not pay for it, so that is why the terms are what they are.

Automakers tussle over owners of 'orphan' makes

When General Motors put down several of its brands in recent years, it also let loose thousands of brand-loyal customers who will eventually need another car.
R.L. Polk Associates estimates there are more than 18 million cars from 16 discontinued makes on the road today. Those "orphan owners" have sales-hungry competitors seeing dollar signs. GM is offering Saturn owners $1,000 cash toward a Chevy Cruze, Cadillac CTS or a GMC Acadia. Ford is giving its Mercury lease customers a chance to get out of their contracts with no early-termination penalty and offering to waive six remaining payments if they drive off in a Ford or Lincoln.
Edmunds.com research shows the efforts are paying off somewhat for GM, with 39 percent of Pontiac owners, 37 percent of Hummer owners and 31 percent of Saturn owners taking delivery of another GM-branded vehicle. But that leaves as much as 69 percent of owners going elsewhere. Ford, Honda and Toyota seem to be attracting many former GM owners.

GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable

General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.

Sci-fi movie Jinn features car designer, Firebird-bodied Camaro

If you're an automotive engineer being tormented by an immortal being made of fire, then wouldn't you think it best to have a custom coupe called the FireBreather for your getaway car? That's the FireBreather in the image above, adorned by the red wings that once fronted the Pontiac Firebird, running away from a black cloud of evil in a trailer for the movie Jinn.
The Jinn is eternal evil, always waiting for the chance to make things float across rooms before going on homicidal urban rampages. The FireBreather is a Gen-V Chevrolet Camaro - from the V6 to the ZL1 - that's been through Classic Design Concepts' extensive list of exterior and interior modifications, including entirely new front and rear fascias and side skirts, sway bars and springs, Pirelli P Zeroes and an available Edelbrock supercharger.
