1970 Pontiac Trans Am Clone 1974 1973 1972 1971 Firebird Trans-am on 2040-cars
Wilmington, North Carolina, United States
I have a nice 1970 Pontiac Trans Am clone for sale, The car started as a real 1975 Trans-am but has had the front end changed and paint and decals to clone it into a 1970 Trans Am. I built this car because I liked the rear tail lights of a 1975 but the front end and decals of a 1970. I feel like the car turned out very nice and its a very cool clone. The car runs and drives great and does nothing but turn heads. The paint is PPG 1970 Pontiac Polar white. The decals are Phoenix Graphics and are 100% correct reproductions, The paint does have a few small flaws in it, its not show quality but a nice driver quality. The decals are very straight and nicely installed. The front clip was removed and everything was stripped down and the frame was coated with por 15, The floors are solid and the car has had front floor patches put in and the trunk is solid as well. The car has brand new tires 255 60 r15 rear 215 60 r15 front, American racing 15x7 torque thrust 2 wheels. New windshield, sway bar, sway bar bushings, flowmaster exhaust. If you have any questions please feel free to call me at three three six 4 zero 3 six eight two 3. Also I will not ship this car you must come pick it up and pay cash in person.

GM recalling over 40,000 Chevy, Pontiac and Saturn models over fuel pump woes
Mon, 01 Oct 2012The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for a number of General Motors cars and crossovers bought or currently registered in the hot-climate states of Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. As many as 40,859 units consisting of the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Ion and the 2007-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt (shown) and its Pontiac G5 twin are being recalled for potential fuel leaks.
This recall is being issued due to potentially faulty fuel pump components that can crack and cause gasoline to leak from the return or supply ports and possibly cause a fire. NHTSA has not indicated how many fuel leaks or vehicle fires have been reported. As a fix, GM will replace the fuel pump modules on all affected vehicles free of charge. Since Pontiac and Saturn have been shuttered, owners will be able to go to another GM-brand dealership to have their vehicles repaired.
While the list of affected cars and crossovers varies by state and model year, if you own any of these models and live in Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, Oklahoma or Texas, be sure to check the official notice below for more details.
GM recalling 778,000 Cobalts and G5s, six deaths reported
Thu, 13 Feb 2014General Motors has announced that it will be recalling 778,562 compact cars after six people were killed in accidents, partially due to the airbags' failure to deploy. An issue with the ignition switch is causing the airbag issues, as well as causing the engine and other components to shut off without warning. The recall covers the 2005 to 2007 model year Chevrolet Cobalt and 2007 Pontiac G5. (Note that the Cobalt pictured above is a 2009 model.)
According to a report from Automotive News, a number of factors can cause the ignition to switch out of the run position, including weights on the key ring, rough or bumpy roads or other "jarring" events. Any of these situations could lead to some vehicle components not functioning properly.
There have been five fatal front-impact crashes that took the lives of six people, although as a GM spokesman noted, all five of the crashes happened off road and at high speed. In each of these cases, though, the lack of airbags wasn't the only lethal factor - alcohol and failure to wear a seat belt also played a role. Outside of the fatal accidents, there have been 17 other crashes where airbags didn't deploy. It's unclear if any of these crashes were caused by the engine shutting off.
This Auto Aerobics car art ties our brains in knots like pretzels
Sat, 14 Dec 2013We like cars, and we like art. Naturally, Chris Labrooy's Auto Aerobics series - computer-generated images of some seriously contorted 1968 Pontiac Bonnevilles floating in mid-air - instantly clicked with us. If the Pontiacs weren't floating or hollow, we could be fooled into believing the image is real. But where's the fun in that?
Check out the gallery we included of Labrooy's Bonneville art, and feel free too head over to his website for some Formula One humor.
