Let me start by saying this is an original no rust California car originally and is enjoyed and driven as you see it , photo's taken as of day of listing . It is an all stock and original 112k mile car loaded with options . It has power steering , front power disc brakes , power windows , tilt steering ,  factory honeycomb wheels , factory air conditioning , factory posi rear , deluxe interior  , factory am-fm flip face radio with windshield antenna ,tinted glass , and all the standard trans am applications . The body is all original and is in very good shape and has never been rusted or rotted . The paint is what people have kindly referred to as having  "patina" but I would call it old , faded on top surfaces and has some cracks on drivers door . As I said I drive it the way you see it and car looks very nice as is but honestly it will need paint or a lot of time with some buffing and elbow grease to get something more out of it . The drivers rear spoiler has a hole in it but I do have a replacement for it . The paint on the top surfaces are faded and will need some time to either wet sand/compound and polish but I think with some time it could look better . All the decals are present and still look good . Interior is very clean for a 40 year old car , it being white I would say it is exceptionally clean and not detailed to a higher lever that I know is in there . If there is a build sheet in there I am sure it still is where it was placed 40 years ago . All the options work properly including a rebuilt air conditioning system . All the gauges are working properly as well , all the lights , wipers, horn , turn signals , etc work as well . It still has the original radio with front and rear speaker "flip face " am-fm and that still works , with a little static but does work enough to enjoy it while driving car . The motor runs exceptionally well , no issues and very , very strong . It shifts through all gears very well both under normal and more aggressive driving but it is just nice to tool around town for me locally . Exhaust and brakes are fairly new as well , sounds great and stops well . The tires seem to have flat spotted a little from sitting but once warmed roll out well . I drive this car as much as time allows me but not enough to want to keep it . I trust this car to drive anywhere  , and I think it should meet or exceed most peoples expectations as I selling for a 13k reserve . I can be reached @ (516) 467 - 6890 for more information . Car is currently reg/insured/titled to me here in NY .

Rumormill: DeLorean Motor Company considering rescuing Pontiac Solstice?

DeLorean Motor Company Pontiac Solstice renderings - Click above for high-res image gallery
General Motors has made a science out of sharing platforms. So when the company's Kappa platform was introduced for a new rear-drive roadster to be distributed across three different motor divisions, you'd have figured the program was pretty safe, right? Unfortunately for the workers at the Wilmington Assembly Plant which manufactured the Kappa roadsters, those three divisions were Pontiac, Saturn and Opel - three units which the General has either sold or shut down. Which is a shame, because a perfectly good rear-drive roadster platform is a heck of a thing to waste.
In one of the strangest rumors we've heard recently, however, our compatriots over at Jalopnik report that the DeLorean Motor Company (yes, that DeLorean Motor Company) is considering buying the plant and the platform from GM and putting it back into production as a new DMC.

CNN chronicles young girl building Pontiac Fiero

Fri, 26 Oct 2012

At fourteen years of age, Kathryn DiMaria has already done what many self-proclaimed gearheads won't even attempt in their lifetimes. The Dearborn, Michigan teen is rebuilding a car from the ground up.
The intrepid youngster asked her parents when she was just twelve to start a Pontiac Fiero project, even offering to pony up all the funds herself. Father, Jerry DiMaria only expected the project to last a few months, but two years later, Kathryn is still at it. In this CNN video, the two are at Maker Faire (a DIY festival) rebuilding a 3.4-liter V6 engine out of a Chevrolet Camaro to replace the 2.8-liter mill found in the Fiero.
The whole family hast pitched in, with Kathryn's mother teaching her how to sew in order to complete the interior, father Jerry providing much of the technical know-how, and even her sister is chronicling Kathryn's progress through photos. Jerry even started a thread in a Fiero forum which has been live for two years and is now 22 pages long. Of the project, one forum member wrote, "welcome to the madness."

Check out the official 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition commercial

Sat, 16 Mar 2013

The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.
