1976    Silver on Black                                                                           Asking 25,000

455       4 Speed       Hard Top

Mileage as of this date is original 16,558 Miles.

Delivered to Bissell Pontiac Buick in Ajax in March of 1976 specially ordered by a Robert ( Bob Huston also of Ajax, Ontario.   Bob contacted me about 6 months ago and I have his phone number.

Bob loved this car.

Bob sold the car to John Kavelman of Whitby.

Then the car came to London.

What is nicest about this car is that it drives, smells, looks, handles, and sounds just like it should in 1976 time period with about 17,000 miles on it.   Runs well and handles tight tight tight.

What is the worst thing about this car?     John had a tarp on it in his shed and there is a small blemish area in the original silver paint on the roof from tarp wear. Right up on top so is not readily evident.   It is there but it does not stand out and is not that bad at all.  It’s part of the story I guess.   We deal with reality right?

Bob ( the original owner ) did some undercoating on the car. Not too hide anything, but it is there.  I honestly don’t think that this car has even seen rain it is that clean.

The original Silver paint on this car is very good and is exceptional condition.  There is no need to paint this car.

No frills at all on this car.

Rear window frost delete.

Bird delete.

Radio delete.

Console delete.

Built to run.        No AC.  No power anything”.    Perfect.   Just like a true muscle car should be.

Strong running car and a joy to drive.

What does this car need?  Nothing that I can think of.  Drive it and enjoy it.

If you want to take the time, in the trunk area and maybe around the door jams, varsol will take off Bob’s undercoating and not hurt the paint finish.  It’s thin.  It’s not there to hide anything.  Check the car over well and I think that you will agree with me.   A bit of elbow grease and its gone.

Very strong running original Trans Am.   A real blast to drive.    Shifts amazing.

Very few console delete cars out there.  There are a few..... but not many as you know.

GM recalling another 1.3-million cars over power steering woes

Mon, 31 Mar 2014

When it rains, it pours. General Motors has announced yet another major recall, covering 1.3 million units in the American market over concerns that the power steering could suddenly fail. As reported by The Detroit News' David Shepardson, GM has now recalled nearly ten times as many cars as it did all of last year.
It's important to note that should this problem arise in these cars, the steering won't fail completely, however, power steering could suddenly stop functioning. Manual steering would still be possible, but as GM says, there's an increased risk of accidents, particularly at lower speeds.
Like the ignition switch recall, this latest problem covers a wide range of vehicles from Chevrolet, Saturn and Pontiac. Normally, we'd give you the full rundown in paragraph form, but the variety of models and model years means a list is just easier. So, have a look, directly from GM's press release:

GM doing fine at retaining Pontiac owners

Fri, 28 Oct 2011

This isn't the first time we've reported positive news about General Motors retaining former Pontiac owners. Get a few more stories like this latest report from Edmund's Auto Observer, and it will mark an ongoing positive trend for GM. Edmunds.com crunched the numbers to see how well the General is hanging on to customers after shutting out the lights at Pontiac, and it found that nearly 40 percent of Pontiac owners stayed with a vehicle from a General Motors brand.
The numbers are a little lower than an earlier R.L. Polk & Company study, but Edmunds says General Motors is keeping more former Pontiac buyers than it has since 2007. Most are turning to vehicles from Chevrolet, especially during January and February of 2011, when GM incentivized Pontiac owners to stay under the umbrella. Those moves seem to have worked, and 28.1 percent of Pontiac owners trading up made the jump into a Bowtie.
Buyers that have gone elsewhere have largely stayed loyal to Domestic automakers, with Ford picking up the most conquests from Pontiac, with 9.4 percent switching. Toyota and Honda picked up 7.4 percent of the pool of former Pontiac drivers. The numbers are defying any predictions that Pontiac buyers would completely exit the General Motors fold, and have climbed up closer to parity with the retention figures of other GM brands from a 2009 low of only 16 percent retention.

David Hasselhoff's own KITT replica up for auction

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

Depending on when and where you grew up, the name David Hasselhoff likely conjures up images of Knight Rider, Baywatch, pop singer, or possibly a washed-up TV actor, but one thing that can never be taken away from The Hoff is his connection to one of the greatest automotive icons in pop culture. The Knight Industries Two Thousand, usually shortened to simply KITT, was the real star of Knight Rider for many fans. Based on a Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, the car combined snarky quips for comedy relief and stunts to provide much of the show's actions. Now, Julien's Auctions is selling Hasselhoff's own replica as part of a larger sale of the actor's personal memorabilia collection.
This recreation is based on a 1986 Firebird and comes with all of the tech on the inside that now seems hilariously outdated, like the yoke steering wheel and plethora of buttons. The interior also thoughtfully includes a voice box with over 4,000 sound clips from the show. With a 5.0-liter V8 and an automatic transmission, performance is likely adequate and period correct. According to the listing, this car was created by fans and given to the Hoff. Sadly, the replica doesn't convert to Super Pursuit Mode like KITT could in later seasons, and we most associate KITT with conventional front-hinged doors to go with the power t-tops and ejector seats.
Bidding currently sits $27,500 with eight bids, since starting at $15,000. Julien's predicts it will sell for between $30,000 and $50,000. If there is some nostalgia for KITT in your heart, there is still plenty of time to bid.
